About Slackwater

It started with a dream. Big city office, phones, memos, meetings and conference calls… sure you’re making the big bucks, but all you want to do is fish and golf and drink beer in a perfect paradise on the Georgia Coast. The idea for the band Slackwater came about at an oyster roast in Shellman Bluff, Georgia late in October, 2014. Bob Jameson and Tim Rhoad on guitars, Jordy Evans, harmonica, Bill Kidd, keyboards, R.B. Kluttz, percussion, John Wilsterman, bassman. It started with a dream. They chose R.B.’s garage because he lives far out on the point where nobody would complain about the noise. They named themselves Slackwater, put together a list of songs they liked and kept at it until the music came out good. Just ask the packed crowds at the golf course, local festivals, weddings and parties, the band, Slackwater plays audience-pleasing oldies, rock and roll, a little country and blues… just about anything you want to hear. They work cheap and will keep you up past your bedtime. The action begins with Slackwater.
