Terms and Conditions
Disc Jockeys Unlimited — Quick Booking Terms.
• Retainer: Non-refundable retainer due within 7 days to hold your date.
• Final Payment: Balance due 3 days before event. Accepted: card, e-transfer, cheque, cash (specified on quote).
• Minimums & Discounts: Limited-time 30% tariff relief discount requires client age 19+, minimum 4-hour booking, and excludes special holidays. Discount not valid on overtime.
• Overtime: $200/hour if event runs past contracted end time.
• Scope & Add-Ons: Standard packages exclude light effects; extra sound for 100+ guests is additional. Add-ons (lighting, karaoke, AV, extra speakers) available.
• Arrival & Setup: We set up between 1 & 2 hours before start time; performance begins when guests arrive and ends at contracted finish unless overtime is added.
• Client responsibilities: Provide a sturdy 6-ft table (table can be supplied as an add-on), reliable power access, a covered performance area for outdoor events, and non-alcoholic beverages for DJ staff.n.
• Safety & Conduct: We may stop service for unsafe conditions or guest abuse; no refund if stopped for these reasons.
• Music Control: We honour requests and do-not-play lists when possible. DJU retains final control over music selection.
• Cancellation: Cancellation within 60 days of the event may incur full balance.
• COVID/public-health postponement: We will reschedule with no charge when government restrictions or venue closures force a postponement.
• Insurance & Law: DJU is licensed and insured. Terms governed by Ontario law.
• Booking: A full contract and detailed terms will be provided with your formal quote.

Diamond Wedding Package — Terms (Disc Jockeys Unlimited)
Booking & Payment
- Retainer: Non-refundable retainer (amount on quote) due within 7 days to secure your date.
- Final Payment: Balance due 5 days before the event. Accepted: Credit card, e-transfer, or cash (noted on your quote).
- One-event-per-day policy: DJU accepts only one booking per day to ensure dedicated service.
Package Inclusions & Scope
- Coverage: Up to 11 hours of service (ceremony + reception) with a primary DJ and one assistant, as specified on your quote.
- Equipment: Complete digital DJ system, sound sized for up to 200 guests, 2 × 3200-lm HDMI projectors,
2 × 96" screens, 2 wireless microphones,
5 multi-colour light effects,
1 mirror ball, MARQ Haze 800, (if applicable/allowed at the venue)
10 ORION 3 LED up-lights.
- Music Library: 100,000+ songs (1950s–current); instant downloads from iTunes when available. Client may supply song lists and do-not-play lists; DJU retains final control over onsite music selection.
- Setup/Teardown: DJ and assistant will arrive up to 4 hours prior for advanced setup; equipment removal occurs after the scheduled end time.
Add-Ons & Extra Charges
- Light effects included are those listed above. Additional lighting, projection, or special effects are available as add-ons at extra cost.
- Events over 200 guests may require additional sound equipment and fees; final needs determined after site assessment.
- Table rental, extended service hours, ceremony sound at multiple locations, and other custom requests are available for an additional fee.
Discounts & Promotions
- Any advertised discount (e.g., limited-time tariff relief) is subject to conditions on the quote (client age, minimum hours, excluded dates) and is not applicable to overtime or previously issued invoices.
Overtime & Additional Time
- Overtime is billed at $200/hour if event runs past the contracted finish time. Additional hours must be approved and paid per the quote.
Client Responsibilities
- Provide a sturdy 6-ft table (table can be supplied as an add-on), reliable power access, a covered performance area for outdoor events, and non-alcoholic beverages for DJ staff.
- Ensure safe working conditions and unobstructed access for setup. DJU may stop performance if conditions are unsafe or staff are abused; no refund will be issued if service is halted for these reasons.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellation within 60 days of the event: Client may be responsible for full balance (as noted on quote).
- COVID/public-health postponement: We will reschedule without charge when government restrictions or venue closures force postponement. Reschedules subject to DJU availability.
Substitution, Insurance & Liability
- DJU may substitute qualified staff for emergencies or extenuating circumstances.
- DJU is licensed and insured; proof available on request.
- Client indemnifies DJU for loss, damage, or injury arising from the event and is responsible for required venue permits or fees.
Music Planner & Final Details
- Clients must submit the online event planner 10 days prior and complete a final phone meeting with the DJ within 7 days of the event to finalize details. Failure to meet these deadlines may limit DJU’s ability to guarantee specific requests.
Governing Law & Fees
- This booking is governed by the laws of Ontario.
- If legal action is required to enforce terms, the prevailing party is entitled to reasonable legal fees and court costs.
Full agreement and signature will be provided with your formal quote. Request a written copy of the final contract and performance agreement for review before signing.
