The Conference Center at the Holiday Inn at Taunton, MA is an exquisite place to hold conferences, meetings, weddings or any other gathering that needs space for a large number of people. That being said, it is also a good place for smaller, more intimate meetings as there are a number of ballrooms and meeting rooms in various sizes to accomodate just about any size crowd. Our group has always found the staff to be extremely courteous, friendly and helpful at all times, from the front desk to the kitchen staff. On the rare occasion that we needed something we had not planned on, the staff immediately sprang into action to assist us. The decor of the building is old-worldly beautiful, reflecting the opulence and classic beauty of an earlier time, yet the facilities have every modern convenience any group could want or need for a successful gathering. Guest rooms are clean, bright and well-furnished. In house restaurants provide a delicious, if somewhat pricey, meal available right up until 11 P.M. Our group uses two ballrooms and multiple other meeting rooms, once a year, for an entire 3 day weekend gathering. The rooms for the exhibition and demonstrations we put on are bright, well-maintained and reasonably priced. Although we have a large group each year, there are enough meeting spaces that several other celebrations and activities may be taking place simultaneously with ours and there is never a feeling of being crowded or having to wait if we need something. This conference center really is a one-stop shopping experience for those looking for a venue that has it all. It is easily accessed from the highway, has guest room accomodations, restaurants and meeting rooms all under one roof. The qualified, friendly and courteous staff is always at the ready to assist the guests with everything from the request for directions to area attractions to new tables being set up for meetings. It is a place I would highly recommend to those needing a bright, cheery, beautiful center.
If you have a wedding to plan and you don't have a lot of capitol to work with, you live in Southeastern Massachusetts or Northern Rhode Island, this is a great place for a wedding. The wedding planners they supply you help you every step of the way and can answer any questions you may have. We had a wedding on a 3 week time limit and were strictly confined because of out of town guests. The visitors stayed right in the hotel and enjoyed themselves without worry. There are 2 restaurants and a bar in the hotel. Fabulous access as the interstate and other highways are right outside the Hotel. On the outside of the Holiday Inn there are several parking lots to accomidate guests and helpful staff do not walk by you but stop and ask if you need anything all the while being pleasant. A beautiful gazebo is available for pictures and when you go inside the main staircase is perfect for pictures and descending photos. The Justice of the Peace was in her judge robe and made it look very official. You have your choice of how you would like the room set up and can make exact seating or free seating, which ever you would like. Very clean. A nice choice of dinners and the majority in our party had Chicken Parmagiana which was out of this world. Served with an italian medley of pasta and white sauce, salad and dessert. Just amazing. It makes a world of difference between a great meal and a so so meal. No one rushed us out and everyone was very happy. I would recommend this as it cost us just under $1500 for all this and they did it so quick. Everything went smooth.
