About Old Sturbridge Village

Old Sturbridge Village, the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast, depicts a rural New England town of the 1830s. You are invited into more than 40 original buildings, including homes, meetinghouses, a district school, country store, bank, working farm, three water-powered mills, and trade shops. Visitors can meet heritage breed farm animals and interact with authentically costumed staff. Located within one hour of Boston, Springfield, Providence and Hartford, Old Sturbridge Village is a convenient and versatile location for weddings, social and corporate events. The property features over 200 acres, 50 historic buildings as well as several venues for your next event, including the Oliver Wight Tavern.
