About The Living Planet Aquarium

The Living Planet Aquarium is an entertaining educational facility that doubles as a charming and unique meeting space for receptions, weddings, proms, sales meetings, planning retreats, holiday parties and social events. The multi-faceted Marine Gallery houses an enchanting 'Sunken Ship,' a giant coral reef 'playground,' a Bio-Facts Station (which features a large bar/serving area), lots of fantastic ocean animal exhibits and a large stingray touch pool which invites gentle play with these curious creatures. There's lots of room to set up tables, chairs, high-boys and floor decorations here! Adjoining the 'Sunken Ship' is a larger meeting room (the education room), 900 sq. ft. with 14-foot-high ceiling. Adjacent to this is a room used as a day-time theatre; its low lighting adds drama to any buffet set-up. The large lobby is a great gathering spot, and so is the adjoining cafe (opening fall of 2007). The Utah Waters Gallery is actually two adjoining halls of exhibits and animals, culminating in a beautiful Great Salt Lake mural panorama, in front of which are 'docks' and our Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp research boat. The Living Planet Aquarium presents more than 600 animals of 125 species in beautiful habitats, to help educate the child in all of us!
