The historic Sierra 2 Center is an ideal and affordable setting for weddings, receptions, workshops, classes and parties of all kinds! Curtis Hall is a spacious room that comfortably seats 130 and opens to a landscaped courtyard with an arbor and patio for additional seating. A food staging area and drive-up parking simplify catering and food prep. The Garden Room seats 45 guests and opens to a beautiful tiled intimate garden Courtyard that seats another 50. A food staging area for food prep is available. Room 10 is a charming room that features abundant natural light; linoleum floor; fireplace (where you can burn candles for ambiance). Perfect for baby or bridal showers! Room 11 features natural light; a sink, counter top, blackboard, forgivable wall and linoleum floor. This room is also ideal for children’s parties, classes and small meetings. Room 12 is an old-time school room that has large windows, high ceilings, and wall-length blackboard that lends itself to a variety of activities. Our Studio Wing has three professional studios that feature dance floors, eight-foot mirrors and double barres running the rooms length. Natural light enters from ceiling high windows that look out onto the park. The bustling 24th Street Theatre is located within the Center. The interior architecture features wood beams, chandeliers, full stage and dressing rooms that date to the original construction of the auditorium in 1926. The theater capacity is 296 and contains 267 fixed seats, space for 29 portable and 5 wheelchairs. The raked seats are numbered, allowing open or reserved seating. The two dressing rooms have direct stage access and include sinks, mirrors and dressing racks. The Center is conveniently located within easy reach of midtown and downtown Sacramento with easy access from 80, 50 and 99 freeways. Free parking in the lot on-site as well as plentiful street parking.

Venue perfect for large family reunion, An Eventective User from Sacramento, California

Sierra 2 Center was perfect for our family reunion. This was the second time we held the reunion there. There is plenty of room and the staff readily accommodated our needs. The only problem is with being able to park close to the venue. Other activities on the property took up most of the parking for the greater portion of the day. On street parking is inconvenient especially for the older members of the family. However, we would use the facility again and highly recommend it.
