My style of photography is often referred to as ‘lifestyle’ or ‘photojournalistic.’ I like a session’s images to tell a story, so my favorite captures are always a family’s love for one another. At a session I’ll often tell my clients to “Pretend I’m not here.” (Which isn’t always easy when there’s a camera in the vicinity, but trust me – those are always everyone’s favorites!)
With that said, I also know that some posed shots are a must – I find that grandparents in particular love them and we all want Grandma to be happy! So I always mix in a good variety of loosely-posed images. Before every session, we will chat about the type of images you prefer.
