Thanks to God and Rev. Byron for finally getting us married. We tried everything else that we saw and heard about and it was a complete waste of time. All we needed was a little time, a little money, and alot of patience, and we got it done. Trudy and Andy
Finally married after all these long years
— An Eventective User

After getting the run around from the Prison, Lawyers, and online Officiants for many years, we finally spoke to Rev. Byron who explained to us that all South Carolina inmate marriages are done thru Kansas with the Officiant, a Proxy approved by the inmate, two witnesses, and the fiancee. I ordered the Marriage License online and they emailed it to me, and we had the ceremony at Maggie Grebe Memorial Park in Opolis, Kansas with guests present. Terra and Calvin

It is a great feeling now that we finally got married thanks to Rev. Byron. We ran into problems with all the other options that we explored, and then we spoke to Rev. What a relief to find Rev. Byron who knows everything about the process for South Carolina Inmates to get married. We had to go thru Kansas since South Carolina inmates can't get married thru South Carolina. We purchased the Kansas Marriage License online and they emailed it to me. Inmate Participation is not required and the inmate can appoint a Proxy to stand in for them. I have friends that got married in Kansas and they tried the online system to get their marriage certificates and the system never recorded their order. Rev. Byron warned us of that problem and we sent in everything by FedEx and they sent our Certificates by FedEx. We had a great ceremony at Maggie Grebe Memorial Park. Theresa and Will

We are so glad we got Rev. Byron to do our ceremony thru Kansas since you can't do them thru South Carolina. Previously, another Officiant who was too expensive and gave wrong information on getting marriage certificates after the Wedding was doing the Weddings. Many Couples' never got their Certificates so they could not change their marital status and name. Rose and Karl

Rev. Byron is the only real way to go for any inmate marriages in which the inmate cannot get approval from his State! Rev. Byron gets the Wedding done thru another State where the fiancee gets the marriage license remotely and the inmate can participate remotely or designate a Proxy to speak for him during the ceremony. Don't give up or waste money on a lawyer since Rev. Byron can get it done. Sarah and Derek
Georgia Inmate Wedding
— An Eventective User
from Grovetown, Georgia
Thanks so much for Rev. Byron for performing a beautiful ceremony for us. We learned that wasting money on lawyers and listening to lies from other Ministers does no good. We found out there is no way to get a Georgia Marriage License since both parties must come together to get the license, and the Correctional Officers won't take the inmate there when I am there to get the marriage license. Rev. Byron had us get the license in Kansas which you can do online and they email it to you. What a great deal! The inmate does not have to participate in the ceremony since they can appoint a Proxy to speak for them during the ceremony. The Officiant chooses the time of the ceremony after conferring with the fiancee, the two witnesses, and the Proxy. We are so relieved that we found a way to finally get married! Brandi and Eric

Rev. Byron solved all our problems by getting us married in Kansas. Inmates cannot get Marriage Licenses in South Carolina. Kansas lets you get the Marriage License online and email it to you. The Inmate is not required to be present or participate in the Ceremony. We had two witnesses and a Proxy approved by the Inmate to speak for him. What a great ceremony and nice Venue thanks to Rev. Byron . Latia and Jon
Getting the Best Information from the Best
— An Eventective User

We are so glad we listened to Rev. Byron and got married thru Kansas since inmates in South Carolina are not issued Marriage Licenses. Other couples who didn't want to go thru the Kansas system and decided to wait till the inmate is released, were in for a big surprise when they thought they could get married quickly and then have everything switched over so the two could live together. They figured everything would be approved immediately and it was a simple process. Many of these requests were denied and of those approved it took months. Interstate Compact is denied if the couple is not married, so the inmate has to be released to a family member. Rev. Byron knows the system well! Tawanna and Eric

Rev. Byron was able to get us married thru Kansas since South Carolina inmates can't get married thru South Carolina. He knows all the details on the ceremony and how the marriage license in Kansas is obtained. You order the marriage license online and it is emailed to you. All guests are welcome! The inmate is not required to be involved in the ceremony. A Proxy speaks on his behalf and is present with the fiance and the two witnesses! Rita and Alex
Rev. Byron was the Most Efficient and Cheapest
— An Eventective User

Rev. Byron is indeed the only way in South Carolina inmate marriages. Other Officiants don't know the law, the Constitution, or Supreme Court Rulings. He showed us that inmates don't need permission to get married, and that legal marriages in other States have to be accepted in all States, including Inmate Marriages. He explained that Kansas is the only option with no problems since Kansas does not require the Inmate to be present for the Ceremony and does not require a notarized Affidavit executed by the Inmate and Notary at the Prison. $300 covers all expenses, such as the Marriage License, Certificates, and Officiant. versus over $500 for all Other Officiants. Thanks, Rev. Byron Tameka and Darius
Affordable Inmate Marriages
— An Eventective User

What a Blessing that Rev. Byron can get us married thru Kansas with the total costs for everything are less than $300. All the other Officiants charge $250-$500, and when you add all the other required expenses you are talking $750-$1000. Many people can't afford that. It is great that Rev. Byron is doing all the South Carolina and Georgia Inmate Marriages and makes sure you get the inmates written permission for the Proxy and ceremony in the event that he is not able to call at the time of the ceremony. My husband and I are so happy that we finally got married thru Kansas since South Carolina inmates cannot get married thru South Carolina. Rev. Byron performed a beautiful ceremony at Maggie Grebe Memorial Park. We did the ceremony with the two witnesses and the proxy first, then when we got the call from the prison for the second ceremony with my now husband. Rev. Byron was so helpful in explaining the proxy ceremony option since sometimes inmates are unable to call when they need to call. Kansas is great since you purchase the marriage license online, and they email you the license. What a great experience after all the problems in South Carolina! Kesha and Martin
Fast and Legal
— An Eventective User
from Columbia, South Carolina
Rev. Byron was recommended by various inmates who he married. They were so happy that they got married quickly, legally, and the most affordable way. For less than $300, all of our expenses were met! We heard some couples spent between $500-$1000 to get married and wasted their time trying to get a marriage license in South Carolina, and trying to get the Warden to approve the Wedding. Inmates cannot get South Carolina Marriage Licenses, and Wardens will not approve marriages. We had our ceremony in Kansas with the Officiant and I, two witnesses and a Proxy. Approval by the Warden is NOT required since the US Supreme Court gave permission to all inmates to get married, and the Warden MUST accept a legal marriage in another State because the Full Faith And Credit Clause of the US Constitution guarantees that a legal marriage in one State MUST be accepted by other States. Thanks, Rev. Byron Tara and Hector

Rev. Byron got us married quickly thru Kansas and was much quicker, more efficient, and alot cheaper than the other Kansas options. We could not afford to get married the other ways people were telling us to do. Several other inmates are in the same situation of having to get married thru another State and can't afford to spend ridiculous amounts of money just to get married. Thank God we finally got married and Rev. Byron is now marrying these other couples for the most affordable way. Tabitha and Mike

We are overjoyed we were able to get in touch with Rev. Byron .I have spoken to several lawyers and several other fiancees did as well and some of them spent thousands of dollars on lawyers and they are still not married. A lawyer is not needed and is a waste of money. We learned from Rev. Byron that we can get legally married thru another State that allows remote marriages. The US Supreme Court gave permission to all inmate marriages so the Warden does not need to approve the marriage. The Full Faith and Credit Clause of the Constitution states that a marriage legally performed in one State has to be accepted by other States. What a relief! Megan and Chad

What a great decision in contacting Rev. Byron about how we could finally get married. We were completely desperate because of all the lawyers we contacted and paid, and they guaranteed they could get us married. We realized later that lawyers can't change the law, and changing policy could take years. After speaking to now inmates wives we learned that permission from the Warden is not required since the US Supreme Court already gave permission to all inmate marriages, and the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution states that legal marriages in one State, have to be accepted by all States. Rev. Byron explained the entire process of getting us married in Kansas since the inmate is not required to be present, and a Proxy can speak on their behalf during the ceremony, with the written permission of the inmate. What a Relief! We finally got married! Terri and Ralph

— An Eventective User

We are so glad that we listened to Rev. Byron who showed us the US Supreme Court Ruling that declared that all inmate marriages are approved and don't need Facility Approval. He Also showed us the Full Faith and Credit Act that states that any legal marriage in one State has to be accepted in other States. Many friends and family members of these inmates are looking for approval from the Wardens which they can't get, and trying to get marriage licenses in those States which they can't get. They have spent thousands on lawyers which is a waste of money since they still won't get married the way the lawyer says. Thank God for Rev. Byron who got us married thru another State and the marriage license was applied for online and they emailed me the marriage license, and we got married with my husband on the phone since he was not required to be present for the ceremony. Once we got the certificates and sent one to the Prison along with a copy of the Court Ruling and the Constitutional Amendment they readily accepted our Marriage. Kayla and Edward

Rev. Byron Solved the Marriage Problem
— An Eventective User
from Atlanta, Georgia
We are very pleased that Rev. Byron had a real solution to our problem. I was trying to get married to my then fiance at a Georgia Prison. We found out that we could not get a marriage license in Georgia because both parties must come together to get the marriage license and inmates can't leave the Prison. I called my lawyer and paid her $1000 for nothing since she got two Affidavits from a Nashville, Tennessee Court signed and notarized at the Prison, and drove 6 hours to that Court only to be told that they would not accept them since they looked fake and appeared to be copies and the Notary Stamp was not acceptable since they don't accept black ink stamped documents. Those documents were originals and did not look fake. I checked with several people before driving out there. I just wish I had not wasted $1000 on a lawyer when I could have called Rev. Byron and got the marriage license remotely, and not have to drive to the Courthouse, since they email it to you. Kiera and Rich
Wonderful Help from Rev. Byron
— An Eventective User

We are so glad we contacted Rev. Byron to help make our SCDOC marriage finally happen. We kept getting lie after lie from the prison, and confirmed with numerous SC Courts that we can't get a marriage license because my husband does not have a valid driver's license, and we would have to come together to get the license, even though the prison says we can get it without us going together. I have spoken to other ladies who wasted $5000 on a lawyer , and paid $500 to an Officiant for a ceremony but still were not married because they couldn't get a marriage license in SC. Rev. Byron got us married thru Kansas where the inmate does not need an ID and the fiancee can order the license online, and the inmate does not need to be present and the inmate can take their vows remotely and can have a proxy take their vows with their permission! Thanks Rev. Byron. Tasha and Rick
Way to Go Rev. Byron
— An Eventective User
from Columbia, South Carolina
We are so glad we talked to Rev.Byron since we had been given so much erroneous information by the prison. The situation is the same in South Carolina and Georgia. The facility tells you that you can get married but if the inmate does not have a valid drivers license and the inmate does not go with the fiancee to the courthouse you can't get a marriage license. Many couples" have had ceremonies but are still not married after paying another Officiant $500 for nothing. One of our friends paid a lawyer $5000 and guaranteed they could get a marriage license, but of course they couldn't. Rev Byron got us married thru Kansas where you can get the marriage license remotely, and the inmate does not have to be present for the ceremony. Rev. Byron showed us the paperwork that the US Supreme Court gave permission to all inmate marriages. LaTasha and Howie

Thank God for Rev. Byron after we got the run around from the Courthouse and the Prison. Marriages have to be done thru another State since a marriage license cannot be obtained in South Carolina since inmates don't have the proper ID' s and can't be taken to the courthouse when the fiancee is there to get the marriage license. Don't waist your time with South Carolina and have Rev. Byron get you legally married thru Kansas which does not require the inmate to be available for the ceremony and a proxy can be used and you can get the marriage license remotely. If the Facility does not accept the marriage the Feds will make them accept it!Tia and Joe
Relief that we Finally got Married
— An Eventective User
from Atlanta, Georgia
We are so glad that we found out about Rev. Byron . We had been dealing with different courts and the Prison for over a year. We submitted the paperwork to the Warden for approval and kept getting one excuse after another and my fiance has no behavioral issues since he has been in Prison. We finally spoke to an Attorney who told us that we can't get a marriage license in Georgia since both parties have to come together to get the marriage license. We are sick of reading all the lies on Georgia Websites saying their is another way to get the marriage license, when there is not. Rev. Byron got us legally married thru Kansas which offers a remote marriage license and a proxy can take the vows for my fiance with his permission , if he can't be available at the time of the ceremony. The Federal People know that Georgia is violating inmates rights. Taylor and Eric

We finally got the truth and got married
— An Eventective User
from Kershaw, South Carolina
What an ordeal we had with the Prison in trying to get married . South Carolina DOC has false information on their website and we submitted the paperwork and got the run around . With one excuse after another, we checked with other others who went thru the same thing. They checked with other Chaplains who told them that South Carolina does not allow inmate marriages. Since they won't take the inmate to the courthouse when the fiancee is there and they don't have a valid marriage license they can't get married in South Carolina. Another fiancee was told by another Chaplain that inmates have to find another way to get married since they can't get married thru South Carolina. We finally spoke to others who told us to call Rev. Byron who told us there were only two States, Virginia and Kansas, that would be able to get us married. The US Supreme Court, the US Attorney General, and the South Carolina US Attorneys Office have given their permission. Mary and Rob

We explored many options before we finally talked to Rev. Byron after speaking to several lawyers, as well as DOC people. The only way we figured you can't get married is if both parties are incarcerated. Luckily, I am not incarcerated! Rev. Byron explained the entire process of getting married thru another State. The US Supreme Court, the US Attorney General, and the South Carolina US Attorneys Office have approved and gave permission to all Inmate Marriages. So we finally made it happen! Thanks to Rev. Byron he has options thru 2 different states to get all of the inmates married. If the inmate and fiance/fiancee can't talk to each other then the Kansas Option is utilized . Rev. Byron Solved the Problem

I applied to get visitation approval to see my fiance and that form is fictitious since only relatives are allowed in to see inmates. The South Carolina DOC website says the inmate can fill out a form requesting a marriage ceremony and the Warden will approve it. Of course that is also fictitious since only relatives are allowed in to see inmates. Rev. Byron discussed the Virginia option and the Kansas Option with us and we were finally able to get married. The Kansas Option Worked Great
— An Eventective User
from Kershaw, South Carolina
Thanks to Rev. Byron we finally got married! The Virginia option didn't work because we couldn't get a notary approved to get the affidavit signed and notarized. We did have success with the Kansas Option since they allow proxy marriage in the event that one party is not able to be available at the time of the ceremony. They also require 2 witnesses. Everything was great! Tayla and Reggie

Thanks to Rev. Byron for making our marriage happen. The Wardens won't approve the marriages and won't take the inmate to the courthouse when the fiancee is there so no marriage license can be obtained. We are so excited that we called Rev. We sent a notary to the prison to get a form notarized, and I did the same thing with my form. A Complete Ceremony for an Affordable Fee

Thank God we found Rev. Byron who performed a beautiful ceremony for us. It was well worth the wait since he is extremely busy because he performs almost all the Civil Ceremonies in the Roanoke area because other Officiants don't do what is required and charge ridiculous fees! Two of my friends met an Officiant who simply signed the license without performing the required ceremony, and my sister and her husband had an Officiant who rushed thru a one minute ceremony and only allowed a handful of guests. Rev. Byron emailed us the memo where the Virginia Attorney General declared that Zoom and Phone Weddings have always been legal in Virginia. Thanks, Rev. Byron. Karen and Patrick

Thanks to Rev. Byron and Virginia for helping us do our wedding. My partner had to leave Virginia right after we got our marriage license to care for a sick family member and we knew he would not be able to come back for our wedding which could not be rescheduled. We were lied to by other Virginia Ministers and Virginia Courts who said he and the minister had to be present for the wedding. We also were lied to by Utah Ministers who told us we had to get a Utah license and get married by a Utah minister. Thank God we spoke to Rev. My partner and I made the best decision of our lives by getting married in Utah through the Utah County Online Electronic Marriage License Process. We along with our two witnesses and guests were allowed to be anywhere since our officiant was in Utah. Utah was our only hope since our marriage could not occur legally in China.
Thank God for Utah!

Sherry and I planned on a DC judge marrying us by ZOOM but when we found out there is a three month wait for a marriage license and appt , we contacted Rev. Byron who directed us to the remote license option thru Utah County Utah and since the officiant was in Utah we and our two witnesses could be anywhere , and I can't travel because of health reasons. Thanks, Derek and Sherry!

Since my partner and I were both injured in an auto accident and unable to leave our home without undue hardship, we did the Utah County Utah online electronic marriage license. With Rev. Byron in Utah and family and friends scattered through out the world, we had a much better wedding than a judge could ever do;

Thanks to Rev. Byron for his knowledge of the law. Robert and I had our wedding scheduled for months, and a week before the wedding, Robert had to fly to Maine to deal with the health issues of his mother. We started to panic, but Rev. Byron showed us the law that indicates that both parties are not required to be together during the ceremony. So we Zoomed Robert in on the Big Screen, and did a COVID style wedding! There is no way we could cancel the wedding and loose all that money! Rev. Byron was a life saver! Carla and Robert

Thank God for Rev. Byron who suggested a ZOOM Wedding since the courthouses no longer do weddings with a judge. All we wanted originally was us and the judge, but we put together a ZOOM Wedding with people logged in all over the world. Thanks, Rev. Byron

Levander, and I had a wonderful ZOOM wedding with our minister, and other guests on the big screen. Rev. Byron gave us plenty of options for our type of ceremony, which the other Zoom ministers don't! Thanks, Rev. Byron!, Levander and Shanika
Customized ZOOM Ceremony

Tobias and I were looking for the flexibility of a specially written ZOOM ceremony with a interfaith wording as well as certain family members participating in the ceremony. Rev Byron Sichert was indeed the best among ZOOM Wedding Ministers by allowing us to do everything we wanted to do, unlike the other officiants! All of the other officiants said they used their standard ceremony. We were not going to have a standard ceremony, like the courthouse, so Rev Byron make sure it was just what we wanted. Many Thanks, Kim and Tobias

Melanie, and I had no judge available for our wedding day so we called Rev. Byron who suggested a ZOOM wedding which was the best idea since we had family in different countries. We had a great wedding, and Thanks, Rev. Byron. Jim and Melanie
Fabulous ZOOM Wedding

We had a very traumatic situation when my then fiancee, Grant became ill out of state right before our wedding date. We checked with our officiant, Rev. Byron Sichert, about Virginia marriages, and he let us know that both parties are not required to be together at the time of the ceremony so we zoomed him in for the ceremony.

It was much easter to have everyone invited to a ZOOM wedding, rather than waiting for a judge at the courthouse with our family not there. Thanks, Rev. Byron for the great ceremony! Ralphael and Tabitha

Since Alabama no longer requires marriage ceremonies and the courts don't have anyone to perform marriage ceremonies, we looked for and found Rev. Byron Sichert to perform our ceremony. After filing all that was required with the court to be legally married, we had Rev. Byron perform a ZOOM ceremony with people logged in from different parts of the country. What a wonderful ceremony! Artisha and Levander

Perfect Ceremony

We had a great ceremony at Lake Hening at Henrico Courthouse. We designed our ceremony, my dad walked me down the aisle, and all of our family and friends came. The fee for everything was only $100.
Thanks, Rev. Byron!
