All indoor weddings are at the location of the marital couple since the Henrico Courthouse does not allow us to perform ceremonies in the Courthouse.. We are not affiliated with City of Richmond or City of Richmond Circuit Court. We serve as a Justice of the Peace Alternative since Virginia no longer has Justices' of the Peace. Beware that Marriage Ceremonies are not performed at the John Marshall Courthouse and don't get the marriage license there since the license must be mailed back after the ceremony and the post office will of course loose it. Get the license in Henrico since you don't need an appointment to get the license so you only make the appointment with us for the ceremony at the Henrico Govt Center Venues or at your home or venue. Virginia law allows the license to be obtained from any Virginia Circuit Court. Beware that getting married at Maymont which is not free. While the park is owned by the City of Richmond a private company operates it and if you get caught you will be paying alot more than you expected! The Henrico Govt Center Venues are free! Finally, don't hire any of the people on the Richmond list since they are not trained fully credentialed Wedding Ministers and some charge ridiculous fees. Rev. Byron Sichert, the top regional Wedding Minister, and his staff perform all Virginia Weddings for a reasonable fee. Have your Wedding done right! If you get the voice mail you Must leave a message to assure your call will be returned within 2 hours, and call at least 1 week before to schedule your ceremony. Call to schedule 8-9 seven days a week and ceremonies are performed 10-6 at our venues, or till 8 at your location seven days a week. For more info: hlam.net/vamddcweddings. All ID's for marriage licenses MUST be in English! We also perform remote Virginia DOC marriage ceremonies! Don't call any of the people on the Richmond list because they don't return phone calls or respond to emails! If you want to come to our recommended location for your ceremony, give us a call to schedule your ceremony at the Henrico Govt Center Venues which are in the same complex as the Courthouse. We are not allowed to perform the ceremonies in the Henrico Courthouse. All the Richmond couples' come to our Henrico Venues since ceremonies are no longer performed at the Richmond Courthouse. Make sure you get the Marriage License at the Henrico Courthouse since the venues are in that complex. Richmond couples' are NOT required to get the Marriage License in Richmond, so don't. If you get the marriage license in Richmond it will normally get lost in the mail when the Officiant mails it. If you get it in Henrico, you take it back in yourself after you are married!

Wonderful Wedding — An Eventective User from Richmond, Virginia
We have told our family and friends to make sure they get their Marriage License from the Henrico Courthouse and you can get married at the Henrico Govt Center Venues which are at the same complex by appointment only Weddings are not done in the Richmond and Henrico Courthouses. We made sure they know not to get the Marriage License from Richmond which requires the license to be mailed back and it gets lost in the mail. Rev. Byron performs a beautiful ceremony. Great Ceremony and Advice — An Eventective User from Richmond, Virginia
Thanks to Rev. Byron for giving us great advice. We decided to have our ceremony at the Henrico Govt Center venues, where there is no venue fee, all guests are welcome, you don't need an appointment to get the marriage license, and we had 70 guests, and the Officiant Fee is only $100. We had friends who went to Maymont thinking it was free and they got caught and had to pay $250 and their Officiant was horrible. Please don't use an Officiant on the Richmond list, and call Rev. Byron today! Taylor and Devon
