Lewis Ginter has a variety of places that the couple can celebrate their union, with a variety of colorful gardens on site, there are many settings suitable for all types. The site is picturesque with its beautiful colors and various fragrances. There is enough space for the lucky bride and groom to have many guests to witness their love. The staff in Lewis Ginter are very friendly and knowledgeable about the various plants and flowers. The staff of Lewis Ginter are also the ones to go to to hold many events, not only just weddings. All that is needed is for a person to go to the florists and the many people involved within the garden, and explain their plans for thier weddings, and the staff will take it from there.

The staff, including many volunteers, truly love their location and want everyone to feel the same way. Astonishing plantings in the spring and summer, a colorful show in the fall, and a unique GardenFest of Lights for the winter - whenever the party takes place, a wander around should be part of the festivities. Planning could also include the option to participate in one of the organized walking tours or many events held there. In addition to formal gardens and play areas for the younger set, there is a nature path, meadows, streams and small lakes; so wildlife is abundant.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond has exceptional facilities for hosting meetings and other types of special events. With its acres of lush flowers, fauna and foliage that provide beautiful blooms throughout the year, groups ranging from the Chamber of Commerce to the Red Hat Society regularly book their meeting rooms for special events and meetings in the Robins Visitors Center or Robins Tea Room. As a member of the Red Hat Society, I am always excited when they schedule their quarterly meetings at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, because it means I will get the chance to enjoy really great food by the catering staff and also get free admission to the gardens (not to mention the opportunity to spend money at the gift shop). What is so special about holding a meeting at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens? Let me tell you why it is my favorite place. First, it is a gorgeous venue. Besides the acres of gardens, greenhouses and conservatory, the meeting facilities are among the best in the city of Richmond. Thanks to generous endowments from the Robins family foundation, the meeting rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped for any type of event you might want to hold. The Gardens are conveniently located, so no matter whether you are coming form north, south, east or west, you can get there with ease. And once inside the gates, there is ample parking and easy handicap access. In fact, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens probably has more senior citizen groups meeting there than any other, due to its friendly accommodations. They have an exclusive on-site catering agreement with Meriwether Godsey and the food is not just good – it's delicious. Plus, whenever a group has a meeting or event in the visitor's center, everyone attending gets free admission to the Gardens, which normally costs $11. And anyone who might be interested in getting some gardening tips can visit their education center and library, or speak to any of the employees, who can provide loads of information. When you have a meeting at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, you not only get a great meeting facility, but you get so many more perks that you just can't find in most other places. That's why it is one of the most popular (and rightfully so) meeting locations in the central Virginia area.

The RVA Event Space, is approximately 6,000 sf of space and holds up to 400 in the event space, with room for an additional 300 people with use of the outdoor patio. The converted warehouse is a flexible space and can be set up in banquet, reception, or theater style. The space was once a part of a former cardboard manufacturing plant and warehouse, and was converted to an event space in (2003). Group Logistics The maximum capacity to sit-down events at Plant Zero is 350 people. The maximum capacity for cocktail-style events is 400. There is a parking lot at the entrance as well as street parking. Included with the basic space are tables and chairs. Add-ons that can be provided include staging, event lighting, audio, lecterns, curtains, video projection. Dogs are allowed.

Welcome to Father Val Hall located in historic, rural Powhatan County just minutes from Rte. 288 and US 60 (Midlothian turnpike).
