Terms and Conditions
Roosevelt Center Terms and Conditions
1. The Renter agrees to reserve the Roosevelt Center venue at the agreed upon rate plus cost for additional rental equipment.
2. Security Deposit. A security deposit is required in advance to secure the venue for full day events. This will be returned within 30 days after the event if there has been no violation of the contract by the renter.
a. Any “Event Deposit” or “Balance Due” is due on the date specified to successfully reserve the venue. If Renter fails to pay the Event Deposit or Balance Due on or before the specified due date, the reservation will be deemed cancelled and forfeited without further notice.
3. Overage Fees. Out or respect for staff and other bookings, we ask that your event ends at the time noted in this agreement. If your event runs over the allotted time, you will be charged $100 for each additional hour.
4. Storage Fees. You will have access to storage inside the auditorium storage room or the storage closet in the conference room depending on which area is rented at no additional cost during the time of your event. Any other rental areas do not include storage facilities. If anything is left after your event, Red Lodge Area Community Foundation will contact you. Any items left after 30 days will become the property of Red Lodge Area Community Foundation.
5. Cleaning & Repair Fees. Additional charges may be made for actual or estimated repair or cleaning costs to restore venue, grounds, equipment or other property to the same condition prior to Renter use of the venue and Owner’s property.
6. Cancellations. Cancellations made 60 days prior to the date of the scheduled event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled event will receive half of the amount paid. All other cancellations after 30 days will forfeit their deposit in full.
7. Payment. All payments due shall be made using cash, personal check, credit card or cashier’s check. All events must have a credit card on file in case of damages or additional fees. Personal checks shall be made payable to “Red Lodge Area Community Foundation” at PO Box 1871, Red Lodge, Montana 59068. Any personal check for insufficient funds is subject to $30 returned check fee.
8. SALE AND SERVICE OF ALCOHOL. If you are selling alcohol, you must work with a licensed liquor vendor who employs servers that are certified to serve alcohol with the State of Montana. If you are serving alcohol for no charge, you must provide servers that are certified to serve alcohol with the State of Montana.
9. Indemnification. Renter hereby indemnifies and holds harmless Red Lodge Area Community Foundation/Roosevelt Center, its employees, officers, directors and agents from any damages, actions, suits, claims, or other costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with any damage to property or any injury caused to any person (including death) relating to the sale or service of alcohol at the Event, including any acts or omissions on the part of the Renter, its employees, officers, directors, independent contractors, or other agents.
10. Severability. If any of the terms and conditions as contained in this Agreement are at any time during the continuance of this Agreement held by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable in the manner contemplated herein, then such terms and conditions shall be severed from the rest of the said terms and conditions in accordance with the intent of these presents.
11. Indemnity. Renter specifically waives and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, its agents, employees and assigns, from any claims, loss or damage to any guests, vehicles or others as a result of the use of said event space, adjacent areas, parking lot and Old Roosevelt site or areas traversed to access said event space, unless said claim, loss or damage is the result of Red Lodge
