Grace Events is a beautifully restored historic venue located in the heart of downtown Portland. Originally built in 1856 as Chestnut Street Methodist Church and designed by architect Charles Alexander, Grace is one of the city’s few surviving examples of Gothic Revival architecture, having endured the Great Fire of 1866. Now under new ownership, The Herget Group and managed by former Event Director Meghan Johansmeier, Grace enters an exciting new chapter while honoring it's rich past. The venue is known for its stunning architectural details, historic charm, and exceptional service. Grace Events offers several spaces for various guest counts, from cocktail receptions for up to 350 guests to seated dinners for 200. Couples can prepare in the newly renovated bridal suite, exchange vows in the intimate Great Room, and celebrate with dining and dancing in the breathtaking Sanctuary featuring soaring cathedral ceilings, original stained glass, and a striking central bar.
