Recommendations

Enjoyable venue with professional staff. - An Eventective User from Hesperia, California

The PasaThe Pasadena Convention Center is a great venue located about 10 miles from Downtown. I recently attended our annual two day astronomy convention there and it was a positive experience as usual.. They have a huge facility consisting of two conference areas, two exhibit halls, an auditorium, and even an ice rink. Our event used about six or seven conference rooms and one of the exhibit halls. The conference rooms were in excellent shape; they felt very clean and had great acoustics. The exhibit halls are huge and have adequate facilities to pull even large trucks into them for loading/unloading. An important thing I noticed about the center is that it is actively cleaned and overall well kept. Throughout the convention it was common to see the staff attending to trash and cleaning the restrooms. It was also nice to see that during the twenty minute break between our talks, the conference rooms were attended to by the staff to make sure they were reasonably clean for the next talk. The staff was also diligent at making sure the concessions tables were stocked between talks so there was always snacks and water/lemonade available. They were also very helpful to the guests in helping them find their next talk, and the staff even gave some recommendations on where to eat in the area. The convention center has a small cafe, but the prices were a bit steep and they didn't offer much in terms of food. A coffee cost about $5 and water and soda were $3, and the only food they had were things like pizza slices and hot dogs. However, right by the center there are great places to eat ranging from subway to fine dining, and as with most locations there is a Starbucks close by. There are also numerous hotels nearby which can accommodate people of any economic status. I think the Pasadena Convention Center is a great venue with fantastic staff. It's at an ideal location with everything a weekend attendee could need. Our event has been held at this venue for a number of years, and we're certainly not ready to change that.
