Peaceful place for a conference - An Eventective User from New York, NY

I recently attended a sales conference at Dolce Palisades. The venue is a convenient 45 minutes away from midtown Manhattan, and about twelve minutes from the Tappan Zee Bridge. My group was there for four nights. The setting is incredibly peaceful, with walking trails, koi pond, and a real live swan. The staff was very friendly, and we were constantly plied with coffee, snacks, food, and beverages. I did not use the gym or pool, but friends reported they were good. My only complaints would be the temperature inside the conference center--it was freezing cold, and nobody seemed to be able to control it--and the fact that the wifi kept asking people to sign back in again every ten minutes. Otherwise all the meeting facilities and tech went off without a hitch, the meeting rooms were clearly labeled and easy to find, and seating was comfortable and ample. There was a good variety of room sizes and layouts as well, which made it easier to break up into smaller groups after our welcome session. The bedrooms themselves were clean, comfortable, with beautiful views and relative peace and quiet given how many people were staying there. Check-out was very smooth--they allowed us to do over the phone, and provided instructions for us to do so from a handout the night before. There was no store on-site that provided basic sundries, and while it would have been nice to have access to something like that, the shampoo, soap, etc provided by the hotel was just fine and I'm sure the staff would have provided Advil or other basics had I asked. All in all, a great place to spend four days--I'd go again!
