The Bunker House dates back to the 1800s in downtown Oceanside with a colorful history. First owned in 1886 by Theodore C. Bunker. It was a store on the first floor and a boarding house on the second, which is where its name The Bunker House rooted from. Bunker also owned a single-story wooden structure next door, which served as a meat market and is now part of our patio. The Bunker House was many things, it was used for town hall meetings, dances, church services, it was a music store leasing jukeboxes, and even a brothel in the 70s. This building's unique past has adapted and changed with it's community and is one of the three only standing brick buildings in Oceanside.
At The Bunker House Lounge we hope to bring our community together again to eat, drink, socialize, enjoy live music, and create new stories to add to this beautiful building's vibrant history. Our venue offers 2 indoor rooms as well as a bar area, along with 2 very spacious outdoor patios. The Bunker House is a great venue to host a special occasion. If you are interested in booking our venue space fill out the questionnaire on our website and we will contact you.
