The French Church, located on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, is a reconstruction of the first stone church in New Paltz, originally built in 1717. This reconstructed church was built in 1972 with funds from the Crispell Family. The structure features high-backed wooden pews and a raised pulpit and has a maximum capacity of 65 people. It is a uniquely simple and yet appealing structure, with remarkable acoustic clarity. Our attractively landscaped grounds behind the Deyo House, a breathtaking Victorian mansion, have views of the stone houses, space for tents, and shade from stately trees that have sheltered Huguenot Street for over a century.
