Director Amanda Brown began her career in the hospitality industry in a variety of restaurants and catering concepts. She brings over 15 years of extensive hospitality experience, along with business development and sales & marketing management. Her most previous experience was with CRAVE Catering, planning events for groups of 15 to 800 attendees. Prior to that, she led the Catering & Event Sales Department for Pinstripes Catering. Currently, Amanda is carrying on her event planning career at StoneRidge Golf Club as the Director of Catering & Events, continuing to provide life-lasting memories for all occasions, ensuring all clients can be a guest at their own event. The Mermaid Entertainment & Event Center and adjoining AmericInn Hotel and Suites is a unique hospitality complex conveniently located at 35W, Hwy 10 and I-694. We have everything you need under one roof.
Within The Mermaid, three spectacular spaces are available for wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners and any other social or corporate event.
At over 4,600 square feet, Coral Bay Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests. Coral Bay’s high ceilings are draped with white chiffon and soft lights giving off a romantic glow. This ballroom has air walls which allow it to be split in half or quarters. When split in half, it can hold up to 170. Directly outside the ballroom is a pre-function area that can be used as a social area/overflow space.
Located on the lower-level is Atlantis Ballroom with a capacity of 330. This spacious 8,000 square-foot ballroom includes a permanent bar, dance floor, and large social area with plush leather furniture. Atlantis Ballroom has a charming atmosphere, which is sure to make your guests feel comfortable.
Garden Courtyard Tent is a 4,400 square-foot unique climate-controlled and carpeted space available April-October. Its ceiling is draped with white chiffon and soft lights. The Garden Tent looks particularly stunning in the evening. The tent can accommodate up to 240 guests.

This quaint farmstead is situated on 40 acres just west of historic Scandia, MN, a short 30 minutes north of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul MN. We endeavor to create a distinctly memorable experience within the romantic farm style spaces adorned with perennial gardens blooming with native wild flowers and guest-focused attention to detail.
Purchased in late 2013, this century old farmstead has been a labor of love, slowly restoring it building by building. We felt a strong call early on to share the farm with others and the plans have slowly been unfolding. Our newest addition is ‘The Barn’, a dairy barn, moved three miles from a local farm to our farmstead in January 2016. We would love to have you come visit. Though not yet complete with the restoration, there is joy in the journey. We are in the final phase of our 3 year restoration.
Jeff grew up in the city and I grew up on a small farm, yet we were both drawn to life in the country. We appreciate what the rural and farm landscape stands for; Values of hard work, artisan production, family, community, creativity, simplicity and faith. We’ve both been on journeys, many hard, that have been rooted in learning and trusting in the faithfulness of God and His saving grace, His hope and His redemption. If our stories can help others it would be a blessing for Gods glory. In addition to sharing the farm for wedding receptions, we plan to work with local worship musicians to have nights of worship in the barn. Dates will be announced on our Facebook Page. We will also use the farm to host different day retreats some of which will be focused on marriage, grief and family. Areas near and dear to our hearts and to come alongside others.

The Barn, a historic 85 year old barn that can accommodate up to 150 guests in its rustic elegance of the hayloft adorned with chandeliers or the white-washed milk house below. Together with its ‘grand staircase’ and loft looking out over the farm courtyard through the hayloft doors, it is the perfect setting to capture memories of your special event.
Machine Shed is a rustic-chic pavilion with views of farmland vistas. It is complimented by a beautiful 30 foot tall field stone fireplace and a 100 year old reclaimed paver floor making it an intimate open air gathering space for up to 50 guests.
Beautifully situated options to look out over farm fields or the farmstead itself with its expanse of lawn and gardens.
