About Surrey House And Gardens

Located in Historic downtown McKinney Texas, the Surrey House is an elegant historic home used for private events such as weddings, receptions, parties and business conferences. Built in 1910, the house is a registered Texas Historic Home. We have a beautiful gazebo in a large backyard area with a large back deck overlooking same. The historical home has been refurbished and is charming, immaculate, and beautiful. Venue is owned and operated by Truly Delicious Cakes and catering, a family owned business which has served the Dallas area for over 18 years. Our house and surrounding gardens can accommodate parties of up to 200 guests. If an event, such as a reception, is to be held exclusively inside the Surrey House, the limit is 125 guests. Indoor seated weddings are limited to 100 guests.

Wedding venue, was a beautiful setting and lots of room both inside and outside. Owners were very accommodating. Loved the little guest house for changing into bridal wear. I would highly recommend this venue!

Wonderful experience and the owners /managers. I had almost hundred guests and everybody loved the venue and it’s layout! The managers arranged Pony rides, Face painting and balloon designs for kids and it was icing on the cake !

This place was fantastic. I had such a great time having my wedding and reception there. The place is family run so the people are easy-to-reach, likable, and hard-workinng. The food was very good and everyone even thought I had done something special to the grilled chicken but it was just their own recipe. It was a beautiful location but it not built for large parties. I definitely recommend going there. Ask for Carol Barratt, she will give you the best deal and is great to work with.
