Agate Beach has oceanfront campground spaces that, while not especially private, afford you easy access to the rocky beach. Most stones are pretty smooth there though. Despite its name, this isn’t the best place to find agates. It's clean, natural, very Zen! Look for agates, watch for whales, listen to the birds, and wait for the whales.... you get to tune in to. The Dixon Entrance Maritime Museum has a lovely artwork display, many objects and stories to explore. Even a collection of photo books from the island's history. There are some interesting maritime artifacts from the from the first non native settlers in the area.
