We held our daughter's wedding here. The courteous staff and professionals we dealt with made for an unforgetable experience. They went out of their way to ensure that my daughter's dream wedding was everything she dreamed and more. The food was pleantiful and flavorful. The Wedding Cake was lovely and delicious, and the florist was insightful, and a pleasure to work with. The photographers catered to the last minute additonal photo opportunities to help ensure the most memorable moments were preserved. Everything that you could need for a wedding is supplied by the Stanley House, and the wedding packages that are offered are very reasonable. The packages offered include everything for the wedding at one low price. The "Southern Classic" package includes the ceremony, the catering, the cake, table linens and decorations as well as musical entertainment and a photographer. All of these services are also available by themselves, so you only have to pay for the services you need. There are lots of lovely locations in this grand house where you can get married, including the ballroom, in the garden gazebo or on the gracious front porch. The house offers a quaint and southern backdrop for a perfect ceremony. You can even have the rehearsal dinner and the reception in the same place! You can take a tour of the house and the grounds before your big event, so that you can determine if it is the right place for your wedding. The Solarium is an historic event facility located in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, Georgia, convenient to public transportation, I-285 and I-20. We can accommodate approximately 150 guests indoors for a buffet reception, and about 200 for a standing, cocktail-type reception. We also have outdoor space that may be utilized for a ceremony and reception. Rather than packages or in-house vendors, we offer our clients the opportunity to select all their own vendors, including catering, entertainment, and decor; clients may also bring in their own alcohol. Our clients or their designee are responsible for pre-event setup and decoration and for post-event equipment breakdown and facility cleanup. We offer free on-street and off-street parking, and the Solarium is fully accessible for our disabled guests.
