Inside, newly remodeled rooms include an upstairs lounge with built-in dance floor, comfortable sectional sofas, and an elevated stage area with candlelit fireplace. The area can easily be transformed into any environment from a lounge or club setting to a quiet place for guests to relax and converse. Verandas Beach House serves award-winning food with excellent service from New York Food Company and event planning guidance from one of our experienced event coordinators.

When selecting a reception site, my wife and I were choosing between Verandas and an equally beautiful (and actually more unique) historical site. We initially chose Verandas because of budgeting reasons. While not the cheapest in the area, we knew what we had to pay (they charge based on minimums for day/time as opposed to # of people). As long as you met the minimum, you could spend it on 200 people or 50 people. This was very helpful as the majority of our guests were traveling from the east coast, and we weren't sure how many would come. However, as we worked with our coordinator (Sara), we became convinced we made the right decision. Verandas went out of their way to make our day special - from setting up all of our tables with centerpieces, to checking in that our vegetarian guests had enough to eat, to baking a cake for my new sister's birthday (same day!), to making sure I had a drink in my hand all night. They also reserved servers for us to make sure that we actually ate during dinner. They did all of this in a professional, unobtrusive way - another fork simply showed up on the table after you dropped yours without having to ask for one. The food is delicious - we went with dessert (fabulous creme brulee!) so I can't comment on the quality of their cakes (my sister-in-law liked her birthday cake, though). Despite the beautiful location and amazing food, what makes Verandas a great reception site is the commitment and attention to detail. I didn't have to worry about taking care of ANYTHING that day. Sara handled everything and made sure that we simply had a great time. I would definitely recommend Verandas to anyone looking for a great reception site (we had ceremony at a church).

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZINGFrom the location, to the support personnel, to the food, to the feeling that they really want your wedding to be the best ever.We worked with Cortney - who is delightful, imaginative and very flexible. Her experience show in her attention to details and ability to listen to what you want and how Verandas can accomodate it.While the exterior may be a bit offputting - don't be fooled - once you get inside - the venue is wonderful. The ceremony area is perfect and you truly cannot hear the traffic on Rosecrans.The multi level - non-hotel like - inside was exactly the type of venue we were looking for - you never feel crowded or stuck in one place. This includes the large porch on the second floor (beautiful sunset viewing) and the ceremony areas. We ahd the charis cleared so people could be outside and play bocce ball if they liked.The food was absolutely amazing - our guests are still talking about everything from the cocktail party to the dinner. This was very important to us and the exceeded our expectations. The serving staff was also very attentive - which can be a challenge at large events - but not here.I recommend Verandas for every aspect of a venue from the ceremony through dining and dancing.


Beatiful Beach Town Wedding, An Eventective User from Los Angeles, CA

This is a charming venue for a wedding. The beach is a few blocks away, and the staff at this place is so cool and friendly! We got married here on march of 2010, and our wedding coordinator Sara made sure that everything was perfect. We really wanted a picturesque garden ceremony and we were not disappointed here! The outdoors gardens are impeccably well maintained. The food here is also terrific. Many of our guests complimented the food. We also had top shelf alcohol for our guests and it was very much under budget. The only thing we didnt like was that the dance floor is on the second floor, and the main dining area is on the lower floor. But this wont be a major problem for most people. Totally love this place. Check it out.

We had our wedding here and we could not ask anymore. special thanks to Sara, the coordinator, for taking care of us from start to end. the place was beautiful, food was excellent and service was first class. everyone complimented how good the food was. we chose 4 appetizers and 3 stations. when it comes to NYFC, you don't have to worry about quality of food or service. block away from the beach so we took some of our pic. on the beach. it's not as loud as some people say, our wedding started around 6:10pm and we really didn't hear much noise. if ur getting married, ask for Sara, with her you have nothing to worry. few glitches during the wedding(our fault), but Sara was on top of everything.
