In June, we learned we were having a wedding on a short fuse due to squeezing it between semester breaks. No problem! Balmorhea fast tracked everything, recommended trusted vendors they had personal experience with, e.g., caterer, bar, linens, etc. The owner even suggested ways to cut the costs for those on a limited budget with florists and cakes. We hired their recommendations and had the most perfect, flawless wedding at a gorgeous venue, just north of Tomball in Decker Prairie area. We were so grateful that we chose that location. It made it seem like a lavish wedding because the venue is so fabulous. It's on a 32 +/- estate in horse country. It has a new chapel, bridal cottage and a huge event room. The rustic photo props outside were outstanding. Austin stone buildings, windmills, bridges over lakes, fountains, in the country. Plenty of parking, sidewalks between between buildings. Perfect. And even though in the HOT August weather, it was chilly inside the facilities. I was concerned about their ability to cool during extreme heat. Not a problem for them. Their venue coordinator, Lorie, did an outstanding job of always being available and was a great resource. Fishing is allowed in the lakes during the event day (catch and release)
