I recently had to go to the Hampton Inn for a training session with my company and overall it was a very delightful visit. Usually these types of things are very boring and we do them at work. This time around they got us to meet at the hotel because colleagues from out of town were also going to be apart of the training we had going on. I arrived at the hotel about 20 minutes early just to get a head start on things. I walked into the lobby and I was surprised at how clean and well kept up it was for this type of hotel. There was actually a sign welcoming us to the hotel, and it had the company's name printed on it (I wasn't expecting that). The man at the lobby desk welcomed me and told me that there were complimentary refreshments for me to enjoy while I waited for my co-workers. Maybe this is something that they always have ready for guests, but again, I was very surprised that this type of hospitality at a hotel like this. The couches and chairs they had available were very comfortable and clean. Once my entire group arrived we all went into the conference room. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be for a hotel this size. It easily fit 20 of us in there comfortably. The training lasted about three or four hours and the chairs and tables available were comfortable and a good height. If I ever have to book a meeting in Lafayette again for this amount of people I will definitely be going back to my local Hampton Inn.
