The Rafters at Historic St. Mark’s will be your ideal wedding destination. The multi-building campus sits just fifteen minutes from uptown Charlotte, but also feels worlds away, tucked into 14 secluded acres of century-old trees. The Rafters offers the perfect destination for your most important day. Crafted with southern charm and offering modern amenities, the exposed beam reception hall wraps you and your guests in grandeur and beauty befitting the occasion. Along with its beauty and versatility, The Rafters is a venue with a mission...literally a Mission, where proceeds from The Rafters goes to support Flyin' Lion Ministries, a culinary school for transition to empowerment and employment for adults with exceptional needs. We are the only venue operating soley to support a mission. Your rental dollars go to support our cause of empowering exceptional adults. We are also the only venue with a working historic church on the property, so you can have your ceremony in our church, then walk over to our beautiful venue for your reception.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Huntersville, North Carolina. The church was built in 1886–1887, and is a small rural "English country Gothic" style brick church. It has a cross-shaped plan with a three-bay-long nave, a pair of small single-bay side wings, and a one-bay chancel.

The Old Rectory is a 100+ year old house on the Historic Registry. Featuring 7 rooms and 2 bathrooms, the Bridal Party has access to the entire house. The house even includes a nursery if the couple would like to make it available to their guests. The Parlor Suite is light and airy with lots of natural light streaming in for beautiful pictures. Plenty of seating, vanity space, and mirrors available for the wedding party to get ready.
