I got married a few months ago, and I found an amazing florist at the August 2010 Houston Bridal Expo. I met the hilarious, fun and artistic owner of Events In Bloom, Rob Smith. Events In Bloom is a well-respected company that has earned its great reputation. Our wedding was on the large side at 150 guests. We used a florist affiliated with our church for the church flowers, but for the centerpieces and reception decor, we used Events In Bloom. I met with Rob briefly at the Bridal Expo, but we set up a separate meeting on the spot. My family and I met with Rob 6 months in advance of our wedding. The meeting at the Events In Bloom store was a great kickoff to our wedding planning. Rob makes you feel incredibly special. He sits down with you in his office area and asks you about budget, favorite flowers, flowers you dislike, proposed wedding colors, etc. He starts with proposed bridal party flowers; he feels the bridal party flowers set the tone of the event. He has buckets of all types of flowers lined up in the meeting area, and once he knows a few details, he jumps up and puts together sample bouquets. The offices show samples and photographs of floral works of art done in the past. I liked that he was very upfront about pricing. Many of the arrangements are pricey, but Rob is very considerate and aware of people's budgets. I had a topiary of flowers that I really wanted, but the price was not within our budget. Rob substituted less expensive carnations in bunches instead of roses to bring the price down for me. Rob Smith of Events In Bloom is a true artist! He gave me and my mom a bouquet at the end of the meeting as a keepsake. I highly recommend using Events In Bloom for your wedding or important event. These are flowers that everyone will remember!
