Rev. Byron was great in fixing all the problems caused by the prison and getting our marriage ceremony approved and performed. Whet a beautiful ceremony Rev. Byron performed. Tianna and Juan
So many couples' trying to get married at Virginia DOC Prisons have had problems with the counselors that work with the wardens to schedule the marriage ceremonies. Lack of knowledge and incompetence have kept many marriage ceremonies from taking place. Thank God for Rev. Byron who when asked has contacted DOC to get many of these situations resolved so many of these couples' could finally get married including me and my now husband. Tara and Scott
Rev. Byron is indeed the best! He performs a full complete ceremony compared to other ministers who simply do quick IDO's ONLY and charge $500 for that. For $100 you get a fantastic ceremony and he Officiates remotely so you can have guests on the phone since guests are not allowed at the prison. Kara and Ron
Rev. Byron is by far the best Virginia DOC Wedding Minister. I have friends and family who worked with other Ministers and had problems with the Counselors and since their Ministers and Counselors didn't know DOC policy and Virginia Marriage Laws these Marriages never took place. We are so glad we had Rev. Byron who has been the best for 41years to get the problems rectified and he performed a wonderful ceremony. Don't make the mistake others have made. Lashawnda and Erik
Thanks to Rev. Byron for helping us coordinate our phone wedding with me in the UK and my fiance in a Virginia Prison. He explained the marriage license process and the process with the prison.
Thanks to Rev. Byron for intervening to make our marriage happen. DPSCS has a habit of denying pre-trial inmates the right to get married. After we spoke to Rev. Byron he got us married legally another way so we didn't have to go thru the Maryland system. What a Relief! Krystal and Roderick
Thanks for knowing how to get us married thru another state when Maryland DPSCS would not approve our Pre -Trial Marriage, when they are being done at local jails in Maryland. Talk to Rev. Byron today to make your marriage happen! Kayla and Chris
Thanks to Virginia and Rev. Byron we were able to do a 3 way phone call wedding with my fiance in the counselors office at the prison, Rev. Byron in Woodbridge, VA, and me in Australia at the top of the mountain to get a good cell phone reception. I was unable to travel to Virginia for health reasons! We did the double affidavit system to get the mail order marriage license thru City of Roanoke Circuit Court. It was 9 AM Eastern at the prison, and 12 Midnight the next day in Australia for the ceremony. We are so glad that Virginia does not require all three parties to be together for the ceremony. Rev. Byron even has a memo that shows the Attorney General indicating that this is true. What a great blessing for us.
Because of military orders, I was not allowed off the base to go with my fiance to get the marriage license, and he and the officiant were not allowed on the base together. We then spoke to Rev. Byron who told us how I could execute a signed notarized affidavit form and have my fiancee take it with him to get the marriage license, and showed us the memo quoting the Virginia Attorney General who indicated that the three of us did not have to be together for the ceremony. We then set up a ZOOM Wedding and sent invites to family and friends! Thanks, Rev. Byron Liz and Jim
Because of military restrictions, I could not leave the base so I did the court affidavit form and sent it to my fiance who went and got the marriage license. The base would not allow people into the base for the ceremony so we confirmed with our attorney and Rev. Byron who indicated that Virginia law does not require the two marital parties and the minister to be together for the ceremony so we got the whole gang together on ZOOM. What a great alternative! Cindy and Gene
Thanks to Rev. Byron we got married with me in Italy and my fiance in a Virginia DOC prison. The mail order marriage license thru City of Roanoke allowed me to get married without coming to the U.S. Wonderful Experience! Frank and Anna
Thanks to Rev. Byron for arranging our inperson wedding at Augusta. My fiancee and I were together with his counselor, and Rev. Byron was on speaker phone with our phone guests. Having guests with health issues made the phone option the only way they could witness our marriage!
Thanks so much, Rev. Byron for performing our inperson wedding by phone so we could have guests and you did great in coordinating them. Tonya and Erick
Thanks, Rev. Byron for doing our wedding. With Rev. Byron on the phone with our guests and Travis and I at the prison together, everything went perfectly. Rev. Byron had to officiate our inperson wedding remotely and coordinate our guests, since guests are not allowed at inperson weddings! Shawnice and Travis
Rev. Byron does a great job in performing ceremonies! Since guests are not allowed at the prison currently, but are allowed on the phone, Rev. Byron officiated remotely and coordinated all of our phone guests. He was wonderful! Chas and Crystal
My husband and I were together in the visitation room and Reverend Byron was on the phone. He managed to coordinate several of our family members on 3-4-5way calls! He worked tirelessly with me for over 7months to get all of the paperwork together, always kind and friendly. He's like a father to me now as he's truly a special soul. He was very affordable, and even worked with the wardens secretary to ensure to took good care of us. He was very accommodating, willing to marry us the way WE wanted to no matter how unconventional. My day was simply amazing and I can't thank Reverend Byron enough!
Thanks to Rev. Byron for performing our marriage at the DPSCS prison complex. Byron was wonderful and we could see his experience from how well he did during our ceremony. Thanks, Devon and Takima
John and I want to thank Rev Byron Sichert for performing our Virginia Prison Wedding. Everything went great. Byron is so busy everyday so John and I were there for the inperson wedding, with the counselor taking pictures, and Byron on speakerphone squeezing us in between two other weddings. Since Byron officiated by telephone the fee was only $100, and other officiants were $400-$600 to be standing there in front of us!
Because DOC is allowing three way phone call weddings we are able to do the ceremony without me even coming to Virginia. We did the affidavit forms, video appointment, and the courthouse mailed me the license which I sent next day to the officiant. It was a great convenient ceremony. Many Thanks, Tabitha
A heartfelt thanks to Rev. Byron for working with VA DOC to get phone call weddings approved. My family and I were with Rev. Byron during the ceremony and we all were very happy. What a great deal to have a regular wedding with Rev. Byron at this venue when my husband comes home included in the package. We can hardly wait!
We are so thankful Rev. Byron was able to get Virginia Department of Corrections to allow phone call weddings because of COVID. I was finally able to get married, and will have another ceremony at Rev. Byron's venue after my husband comes home.
Me and my baby got married in a Virginia Correctional facility. Byron was very fast with going to fax his credentials (even with the one fax machine problem haha), he kept in touch with me up until it was the actual wedding day, July 12, 2017. He went with me to the court house afterwards to finish the process also! Very nice and funny. I didn't want anything special just simple and sweet, and it was just that. Thanks Byron!
I loved Byron!! He was Very down to Earth, n may I add funny!! He was on time and made me and my new family feel very comfortable. I RECOMMEND BYRON TO ANYONE GETTING MARRIED. THX AGAIN BYRON!!
The best thing about Byron is that he is very caring and professional. He becomes part of the family. We had a wonderful time. From the very beginning he took us on with only a five months to get it together. He worked with our schedule and made it happen so that we can have exactly what we needed. We are a very quirky couple and he made sure that we got married right at 1 pm. This was very important b/c we wanted our exact date to be 7/13 13:00. We're a little superstitious. Byron's communication was the best. He was always a step ahead making sure the little things got taken care of b/c we were so busy we may forget. He gave us a check list to make sure we had everything in the courts and ready for the big day. He was great! I won't be getting married again (b/c I'm only doing it once!) but if I were I'd ask him to perform the ceremony all over again. I highly recommend him for your ceremony no matter if it is religious or not.
