Project Oceanology is a year-round, marine science educational organization, governed by local school districts and in collaboration with universities and other educational institutions. Through hands-on, inquiry-based sea, shore and laboratory programs, Project Oceanology assists in teaching basic concepts, principles and theories of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science, including ecology, and their interrelationships. Students can use our waterfront marine laboratories to conduct experiments and activities covering a wide range of marine and environmental science topics.
Our internationally recognized flagship marine science education "Introduction to Oceanography" and Winter Seal Watch cruises, run throughout the year aboard our primary research vessels, the Enviro-Lab II and the Enviro-Lab III. Reservations are required.
