Built during WWII, the Schram Memorial Chapel was the Glenview Naval Air Station's place of worship. This historic non-denominational chapel served thousands of servicemen and women who passed through the military base. After the GNAS closed, the building was moved from its original location and painstakingly restored by the Village of Glenview. Now owned by the Glenview Park District, it is available for rental by groups, individuals and organizations.
People of all faiths are welcome at the chapel. It’s a fitting place for special ceremonies like Weddings, Baptisms, Celebrations of Life, Bar/ Bat Mitzvahs, Eagle Court of Honor ceremonies and more. As well, the chapel’s size, amenities and location make it a great choice for music recitals, meetings, training and presentations. It features a sound system, piano, organ, gathering areas, a kitchenette and more.
Schram Memorial Chapel is available all year round, for day/ evening, weekday and weekend events. Please email us directly at *NOT DISPLAYED* for availability and pricing.
