Great Food and Service, Perfect Wedding!

We had our daughter’s September 2025 wedding at Virginia Crossings in Glen Allen, Va (Richmond area). It is a boutique plantation-style hotel on 20 acres with a street lamp lined curving drive up to the main buildings. Our guests raved about the gorgeous estate-like grounds, the service, and the delicious, beautifully presented food. Many of our guests have lived in the Richmond area for years and never realized Virginia Crossings existed. It’s such a hidden gem! Chef Ashby knocked it out of the park with the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres and plated dinner entrees. The portions were huge and so yummy! I’m still dreaming about the salmon with English pea puree and risotto. The wedding package prices are reasonable for what you get. Packages range from $110 to $140 per person (plus a 23% admin fee, taxes, and tips) and include a 4 hour open bar, 4 passed and 2 stationary hors d’oeuvres for cocktail hour, 3 course plated or buffet dinner, cake cutting, champagne toast for all guests, a Day of Coordinator and assistant, floor length linens and choice of napkin color, upgraded china, all glassware and silverware, tables and chairs, 5 hours of event time, ample getting ready spaces for both bridal parties, and a night’s stay in the Bridal Suite for the bride and groom. If you choose to have your ceremony on site, there is a $2000 site fee. You can get married in the lovely outdoor courtyard garden or other outdoor space, the interior Madison Lobby or in one of the smaller event rooms. Their rain plan is exceptional. It rained on my daughter’s wedding day, and they didn’t miss a beat. And because the interior spaces are so beautiful, there were plenty of spots for great pictures inside. Because the property has a hotel building, 2/3 of our 137 guests stayed on site for the whole weekend. Our family members who arrived on Thursday told us that the grounds crew was busy mowing, weeding, and trimming to make everything look perfect. And they saw cleaning crews in all the public areas scrubbing and polishing until the hotel sparkled. The hotel staff also handed out our Welcome Bags to our guests as they checked in. Without a doubt, the BEST thing about having a wedding at Virginia Crossings was working with Jeffery Ward in conference and event sales. He, his assistant Elise, and his staff worked incredibly hard to make our daughter’s wedding flow seamlessly. He managed all our vendors, ran the rehearsal, organized the bridal party, kept us on track with our timeline, and even helped bustle the bride’s dress. Jeffery also executed our vision for the cocktail hour and ballroom spaces flawlessly! When the doors to the ballroom opened for dinner, I rushed in so that I could see it all decorated before it filled with our guests. And it literally took my breath away! It was BEAUTIFUL!!! So romantic and dreamy!
