Old Findlay Farm — A Farm Setting Where Memorable Experiences Unfold Nestled among fields, trees and a spring-fed lake in Gatineau, Old Findlay Farm offers a peaceful countryside setting where gatherings naturally take place, just a short drive from Ottawa. Old Findlay Farm is a privately owned, multi-generational family farm where visitors come to experience the natural beauty and refreshing pace of life on the land. A visit to the farm includes fields of haskap berries, lavender, fruit trees, vegetables and seasonal flowers growing across the property, bringing colour, scent and life to the landscape throughout the growing season. Within this farm landscape, a covered pavilion nestled among the trees has naturally become a place where gatherings take place. Sitting on a gentle rise near the water’s edge, it looks out across the surrounding greenery and open sky, creating the feeling of being outdoors while remaining comfortably sheltered. Here, visitors gather with family and friends for occasions such as anniversaries, milestone birthdays, showers, reunions and weddings. The 1,450 sq. ft. pavilion is a post-and-beam structure built using lumber harvested directly from the farm, giving the space its natural character and craftsmanship rooted in the land itself. It includes electricity, a serving and bar area, a small stage, refrigerators, stove and gas BBQ, and comfortable rubber interlock flooring suitable for gatherings and dancing. Soft LED string lighting and the glow of the outdoor firepit add warmth and ambiance beneath the trees as evening unfolds. Recent additions provide greater flexibility for changing weather. A clear-panel wall preserves views of the surrounding trees while offering protection from rain or cooler temperatures, while a movable farm door allows the space to remain open and airy when desired. Two white 20 × 30 marquee tents are also available for additional coverage. Hosts are welcome to bring their own caterer or refreshments and personalize the gathering with décor, music and entertainment. The pavilion becomes a canvas within the farm landscape, allowing each event to reflect its own style while remaining connected to the natural surroundings. Beyond the pavilion, guests can wander wooded walking paths and meadow areas across the property, offering quiet places for conversation, photographs or simply enjoying the calm of the countryside. Limited on-site accommodations may be available by arrangement, including two small cabins and several camping areas for guests wishing to extend their time on the farm. Old Findlay Farm remains an active agricultural property where the land continues to be cultivated throughout the growing season.
