Texan Cuisine, An Eventective User from Dallas, TX

Reata is an upscale eatery serving contemporary Texan cuisine. Reata has a uniquely Texan atmosphere that is modeled from old Western ranches, while the lighting and knowledgeable servers provide a comfortable ambiance and impeccable service. You will need reservations as the restaurant is always packed. Even if you are coming from the Dallas side of the metroplex, the drive will be worth it. Once seated, you are in the midst of the vibrant Dallas-Fort Worth buzz, as parties large and small enjoy dinner and drinks (which are also well made, with top-shelf ingredients), sharing new things in the old feel of the restaurant. Reata will cater, has private dining rooms, a rooftop patio, and another location in Alpine, TX. I recently had dinner there with my siblings and a few close friends, and the servers readied a few tables for us in an adjoining section of the main dining hall. Three tables came together and were soon covered with great conversation, a few rounds of drinks, and the splendidly Texan-sized servings of buffalo sandwiches, steak, regular steak, and all the accoutrements expected, all cooked to order, all cooked to perfection. We could not have had a better evening, unless of course the restaurant was in Dallas. I am a believer, and will definitely be returning to Reata when the time comes. You can expect to pay $25-35 per plate, and about $10 for most cocktails.
