Salomon Farm Park was launched as a public city park in 1996 through the generous donation of land by Chris and Maxine Salomon along with their only child, daughter, Lynne. The three Salomons discussed and conceived - perhaps twenty years earlier - the potential of their beautiful landmark farm becoming a historic working farm and city park for others to experience. With the assistance and grateful acceptance of the Fort Wayne Board of Park Commissioners and the Parks and Recreation Department, the Salomon family wishes came true. Salomon Farm Park is a true historic gem and a perfect location for your special event. We have five rental venue options able for special events - the Historic Old Barn (capacity 170), the Wolf Family Learning Center (capacity 150), the Historic Salomon Family Homestead (capacity 25 - first floor only), the primitive open space by our Covered Bridge (capacity 50), and our North Garden (capacity 150, new in 2024, must rent in combo with the Wolf Family Center). Please note that the North Garden is only available during August and September. We also offer rental add-ons such as additional rental time, a wagon ride (for up to 18 people), a goat interaction (for small groups), arches, and rustic farm tables and chairs (only rentable for indoors and/or in North Garden). Call (260) 427 - 6790 ext. 1 today and include Salomon Farm Park in your special memories!
