Grace River Island Resort is a private tropical island wedding venue that can host up to 100 guests and large house that sleeps 20 and is located in the middle of the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Florida. The island is accessible by a land bridge, creating a sense of serenity while still being easy to reach from the city. This luxurious resort is well-suited to sunset weddings ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, destination weddings, and couples hoping to escape for their honeymoon. Owners Mike and Karen Peterson hope that their island serves as a relaxing space for such a magical occasion.
Grace River Island Resort is ideal for couples who have been dreaming about a small outdoor wedding ceremony, with a maximum capacity of 100 guests. Before the day begins, the couples are granted access to individual get-ready rooms. Both of these spaces are air-conditioned, ensuring that the couple and their party are comfortable as they make their preparations. There are several event spaces on offer across the island for the wedding day. These include a large grassy area that overlooks the water and boasts a front-row seat to the sunset over the river. There is a large deck right on the river that can be used for the ceremony as well. Depending on where the ceremony is, the reception can be held on the deck or in the clubhouse. The wedding caterers will appreciate the kitchen, which is available for any final preparations the cuisine needs before being served. For small weddings, if the weather is not cooperative, the ceremony or reception can be moved indoors to the clubhouse.
