The Tom Allen Conference room is decorated with fossils and artifacts of Tom Allen's career, a renowned scientist, researcher and educator. The conference room is equipped with a conference table that is able to seat 8-9 people comfortably, or 15 seated total in the room.

Our classroom is equipped with tables and chairs and is perfect for personal or business meetings, private events, receptions, baby showers, anything you can think of! Let us know what you were thinking!

The McNew Pavilion is nestled underneath the Calusa Nature Center main museum and has ample space for any event! Picnic tables can be provided for no extra cost. The area is surrounded with live animal enclosures giving your event a more wild feel!

This structure was originally built in 1909, and served as the first one-room schoolhouse to teach the children of early Fort Myers pioneers. The small farming community from which it came was named Iona in honor of the Ionian Islands off the coast of Scotland, as some of the early residents emigrated from that area. The Iona House’s main room is available for all manner of occasions and special events: group meetings, weddings, luncheons, parties, etc. The kitchen with full-sized refrigerator makes Iona House ideal for catered or self-catered events.

The museum is great for family gatherings, unique meetings, group tours, private showings, weddings, proposals, receptions, you name it! Your imagination is your only limit when thinking of events to have in a museum.

The planetarium is perfect and unique for proposals, weddings, meetings, presentations, receptions, concerts, memorial services: our planetarium has a dome theater, a stage, and a professional sound system, plus a lobby with tables for providing refreshments to your guests.

"The Meadow" and Pine Pavilion are located in the forests at Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium. The area will be equipped with a pavilion and all of our rentals come equipped with a limited amount 6 - 8 foot tables and basic chairs. This area is perfect for outdoor weddings and receptions, as well as baby showers, birthday parties, celebrations of life, workshops, family reunions, you name it!

The fire pit is located on the edge of the forest with access to trails. It is a brick stone fire pit and can be large enough to be considered a bonfire! Very exciting for outdoor gatherings, family reunions, work retreats and workshops and will be sure to leave a lasting impression on any guest.
