The Patterson-Appleton Arts Center is a unique and creative location to host your wedding reception, business event, birthday party, anniversary, or organizational training or retreat, making it a popular choice for residents across North Texas.
First renovated to serve as the Center for the Visual Arts in 1984, the PAAC offers two large galleries, an education and maker space, dance rehearsal hall, outdoor sculptures, two adjacent public parks, and ample free parking. Remodeled in 2017, Festival Hall is the grand centerpiece of the venue. Its 5,000 square foot event and exhibition space with soaring ceilings boasts ample natural light, original industrial hardware, stage and accessible ramp, built-in sound and video, and flexible banquet or lecture-style seating for up to 250 people. Besides Festival Hall, the PAAC also features a smaller makerspace for rent as well as a small conference meeting space that can accommodate up to 10 people.
We also offer convenience and flexibility, with some of the most reasonable rates around. When you host your event at the PAAC, your money stays local to support the local arts scene and helps keep our doors open for artists, exhibits, workshops and classes, and family programming. After eloping to Oregon in October, my husband and I wanted to host a reception in January 2025 to celebrate our marriage with our family & friends. The Patterson-Appleton Arts Center was basically the only location we even considered because it truly checked ALL of the boxes for us! First, Brittni, the events coordinator, was a dream to work with. We were exhausted after our October wedding, but she was patient, understanding, and so kind. She was always prompt and friendly when answering queries. The location itself is a dream -- modern and trendy, hugely open and spacious, very accessible in terms of location and parking for our guests, AND affordable! We couldn't have asked for more! We hosted about 100 people, wined & dined them, and had so much space left over to dance and for the kids to play. On the night of our event, the staff was at our beck and call, and just like Brittni, they were so friendly and accommodating -- they felt like bonus guests! We used the kitchen, PA and sound system, and all went off without a hitch. We would host here all over again in a heartbeat, and will be recommending this location to everyone we know in the search for a venue. Thank y'all for everything you did to make our night amazing!
