The Arts Castle was built in 1854 as a private residence. The architecture is in the Romanesque Revival style which was popular in the 19th century. The Castle is built of blue limestone which came from the Blue Limestone Quarry in Delaware, Ohio. The Arts Castle offers two main rental spaces, the Grand Ballroom and the Parlor/Library. The Grand Ballroom is the focal point at the top of the stairs. It can accommodate table and chair seating for 72 guests, or a stand up reception (with chairs) for 120 guests. The Parlor/Library, is on the first floor, it can accommodate table and chair seating for 24 guests, or a stand up reception (with chairs) for 40 guests. For an additional charge, you can rent the kitchen, which has a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, sink, dishwasher, stove, and two ovens. Also, for a nominal charge, you can rent one of three pianos.
