About Hyde Hall

Hyde Hall represents an extraordinary vision of 19th-century Anglo-American culture and the establishment of vast agricultural estates in the early years of the American republic. Built by George Clarke (1768-1835), the house is considered one of the finest examples of the neoclassical country house in the United States. Hyde Hall hosted its first wedding in 1834, and since then many couples have found its spectacular views and magnificent historical ambiance to be the perfect setting for their special day. Many fantastic parties have been held here throughout the years, and we know that you will be thrilled at the ambiance and possibilities for your own special event. The breath-taking vista of Otsego Lake from Hyde Hall’s veranda is the finest lake view anywhere in Cooperstown. Experience true grandeur in the countryside on Hyde Hall’s sweeping lawns that overlook the Lake – a perfect backdrop for your special event.
