Began as a whim and a dream of Larry Kiesler in 1992
while he was the Chef of Petars restaurant in Lafayette.
He spent months researching small businesses at all the local libraries and sought out advice from his friends at the Lafayette Chambers of Commerce. Encouraged by Martinez City Officials and Companies all over Contra Costa, he started molding Small Thyme Catering into the success it is today.

has been able to include a much larger geographic. From Stinson Beach to Half Moon Bay and all the cities in between.
We now have a impeccable staff, from Cordon Bleu certified chefs to talented and qualified servers & bar staff. Together as a team will make your event the dazzling success of your dreams.
We offer tastings at our Kitchen in Concord. During your appointment we will design a menu and service package that will satisfy all your requests. If you don’t see what your interested in through our catering menus, just let us know and Chef Larry can create a specialized menu tailored especially for you.
With our new off-site catering options, we can bring the island tradition straight to you! Our Banquet Sales Manager will work closely with you to create a customized menu, assist in wine and beverage selections, & coordinate an unforgettable event!
