Such a great place to celebrate a meaningful moment! We hosted a surprise party here, and the entire experience was smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end. The setting is peaceful and open, with plenty of room for guests to spread out and enjoy the scenery. The relaxed atmosphere made everyone feel comfortable right away.
The large oak tree at the center of the property is a beautiful focal point. Surrounded by three red barn structures--we used one for music, one for food, and the third for cake, drinks, and a gift table — the layout worked perfectly for the flow of the event.
The owners were very accommodating and happy to help set up any games or activities, which made the planning process easy. They provided table and chairs and access to a kitchen. There was plenty of parking on-site, and the location is an easy drive from San Antonio, which was a big plus for our guests.
A well-run, thoughtful space that helped make the day a huge success!

We hosted a retirement party for my wife Ilene at the Red Barn Oak Retreat in Comfort, TX, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect.
The location is stunning—tucked away in the scenic Texas Hill Country, it offered a peaceful and picturesque backdrop that made the whole event feel special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right blend of rustic charm and comfort. You can feel the care that went into creating this beautiful space.
The venue itself was immaculate, well-equipped, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to host our guests and enjoy every moment without a hitch. Everyone who attended commented on how beautiful and relaxing it was. It truly felt like a hidden gem.
We hosted a small group of friends in the associated ranch homes and those were incredible as well. Comfortable, well equipped and recently updated.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a meaningful occasion. Thank you to the Red Barn Oak Retreat for helping us make unforgettable memories!
