Recently, my husband and I held a family gathering at the Ritz Bar and Grill in downtown Colorado Springs. I was skeptical about the venue at first, because I was only familiar with it as a night time club. However, when we arrived, we were shown what the Ritz calls the "Elbow Room", which is a private room on the lower level that was perfect for our get together. The room has a full bar, which the Ritz staffs with a bartender that is there just for you. There are restrooms right downstairs, so your guests don't have to wander around looking for one. There are televisions in the room if you want them on, as well as an iPod dock where you can put your own iPod with your own music for the event. There are comfy booths as well as tables, and the Ritz decorated the area with lovely tablecloths and cloth napkins to make it feel more elegant. The Elbow Room has kind of a wine bar feel to it, perfect for parties for adults. There is equipment available if you want to show a presentation or video as well. The food was incredible. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Bar and Grill, but the Ritz provided a menu that included salmon, steak, and specialty pasta. All of the food was amazing, I loved my salmon and my husband said that the steak was cooked perfectly- and he is very picky about steak. The staff was attentive, never leaving a glass empty, and friendly but not intrusive. I would recommend the Ritz for anyone looking for the perfect place to hold a birthday, anniversary, or even a casual work event.
