The Museum & Cultural Center at 5ive Points, a proud Smithsonian Affiliate in Cleveland, Tennessee, serves as a gateway to the rich and storied history of the Ocoee region. Our permanent exhibit, The River of Time, chronicles the area's journey from prehistory to modern-day Cleveland. Bradley County, once the final seat of the Cherokee national government before their forced removal, played a significant role in the internment and relocation of the Cherokee people during the infamous Trail of Tears.
During the Civil War, the region was deeply divided—Bradley County opposed secession, while Polk County supported it. Industry has left a lasting imprint on the community, from copper mining to stove manufacturing. In more recent history, our region took the global stage by hosting portions of the 1996 Olympic Games.
Since opening in September 1999, The Museum & Cultural Center at 5ive Points has been a champion of local history and a vibrant cultural hub for Cleveland. We offer a diverse array of creative workshops, musical performances, art and history exhibitions, and educational programs for children. Here, guests and the community can immerse themselves in the abundant heritage of the Ocoee region.
With over 19,000 square feet of stunning indoor and outdoor event, meeting, and conference space, the museum provides an ideal setting to mark special occasions, host meaningful gatherings, and celebrate history. Whether you're exploring our exhibits or planning an unforgettable event, The Museum & Cultural Center at 5ive Points is where history and community come together.
