The Monarch Hotel & Conference Center is an independently owned and operated full service hotel. Early on it was decided the growing Clackamas/Sunnyside area was in need of a full service hotel, to cater to the needs of the corporate traveler, convention and meeting markets. In 1985 the Monarch opened its doors with 192 guest rooms, over 20,000 square feet of event space and the mission statement “To provide the hospitality that brings the guest back”. The Monarch has played host to the same groups many times over the years.
