Great Wedding Reception!! — An Eventective User from Xenia, OH

We had our wedding reception in 2 banquet rooms of the Montgomery Inn (Original). The service was fabulous! The food was amazing, and EXTREMELY affordable!! (Get the ribs!) We could not believe the value! All of our guests appreciated that it wasn't the typical ""wedding food"" that country clubs or caterers serve. Many of our guests requested seconds and were served them without hesitation. The staff was very attentive to us and our guests, and they allowed us to be very flexible in our plans. We still get compliments on the reception. It was probably the best ever! The only downside was that the rooms were a little smaller and the decor (carpet, wallpaper, etc) was somewhat dated. Think frilly flowers in greens and pinks. They offered so many services free of charge that other places nickel-and-dimed your for, such as cake cutting, dance floor, unlimited soda/water. We could not have been happier! Parking could have been an issue for our guests, as it is somewhat limited in the area. But with all the money we were saving, we paid for out guests to use the Valet offered by Montgomery Inn. No regrets there. Also, the Montgomery area is really cute. It's an old downtown area of a small city, but it has been maintained with excellent shops. There is even a beautiful park nearby where we were able to get some wedding pictures done. Many of our guests explored the area while they were waiting for us to arrive. Excellent venue for a wedding reception!
