An investment made by William Dickinson in 1813 flourished and became part of the salt making capital of the East. After many decades dormant, J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works transformed into an environmentally conscience business and Event Venue in 2013, creating a mineral rich salt with a uniquely pleasing taste. It is now a destination for a vast collection of Appalachian foods, crafts, and home goods. Romantic, rustic, elegant. J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works offers an array of locales, from inside the beautiful wooden beamed ceilings of the Terra Salis building to the historic setting of the Rose Gardens on the farm; you can select a space that fits your needs.
