An investment made by William Dickinson in 1813 flourished and became part of the salt making capital of the East. After many decades dormant, J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works transformed into an environmentally conscience business and Event Venue in 2013, creating a mineral rich salt with a uniquely pleasing taste. It is now a destination for a vast collection of Appalachian foods, crafts, and home goods.
Romantic, rustic, elegant.
J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works offers an array of locales, from inside the beautiful wooden beamed ceilings of the Terra Salis building to the historic setting of the Rose Gardens on the farm; you can select a space that fits your needs. From daytime conferences and evening corporate parties, including holiday events, to intimate birthday dinners and ceremonies or receptions; we are here for you all year round.
We can provide staffing and assist in coordinating your vendors for all your fine dining and bartending needs, as well as accommodating your catering and rental settings, which are made easy by our caring and exuberant staff.
