Great venue for a wedding! — An Eventective User from Chantilly, VA
The Westfields, Marriott was a wonderful place to get married. The staff was extremely attentive and the wedding planner assigned to me was helpful, responsive and creative. I was able to design a menu from a large possibility of items, and the hotel was happy to accommodate the dietary restrictions of my guests. I did not want to mix milk and meat, for example, so the chef created mashed potatoes and other items using soy milk. The ceremony was held outside (on the terrace). My only complaint is that the hotel is located very near to Dulles airport, so there was an instance during the ceremony when a large, loud plane flew overhead. The hotel was also very helpful with recommending vendors. They recommended a fantastic florist, cake maker and band. Regarding the meal, the food was delicious but the actual salad served was not exactly the one we had agreed upon. The salad was missing the dried cherries and sweet pears we had agreed upon. Nonetheless, I am sure the guests did not notice and it seemed like everyone was having a great time. Most people cleaned their plate!
