It was a joy and a pleasure working with Marie and Greg for Steve's 80th birthday party for 70 people. I can not say enough about how they made it possible for us to have a wonderful event in their home. Every detail from the beginning of the planning to the implementation and the day of was expertly facilitated by Marie and Greg. Communication was always prompt and friendly. Coordination with all the caterers, florists, personal assistants and our family went smoothly.
Marie had great ideas and was instrumental in helping with the set up and receiving our guests. She took an iconic awesome group photo from the balcony at sunset that is our crown jewel of the event. They are such sweet and generous people that are down to earth.
I highly recommend their home for your event .

I cannot express enough gratitude for Marie and Greg, the incredible owners of this beautiful Carlsbad event home. They graciously opened their doors to host the most amazing Celebration of Life for my mother, and their kindness and generosity made all the difference. Comfortably accommodating 60 guests, their stunning home provided the perfect setting for a heartfelt and memorable gathering.
Marie and Greg are the most perfect hosts—their warm, soothing, and cheerful personalities brought comfort during such an emotional and stressful time. As a Christian couple, they felt like Earth Angels in disguise, offering support beyond what I ever expected. Not only were they welcoming, but they also went above and beyond, helping with setup, managing refreshments, and ensuring everything ran smoothly—even more accommodating than some friends and family!
Their attention to detail and genuine care made the event flow beautifully and effortlessly. The house itself is stunning, making the celebration feel like a million-dollar event. From the moment I reached out, Marie and Greg stood out from other venues, which treated me like just another booking. Unlike another venue that tried using dishonest tactics to get me to sign up, Marie and Greg were honest, sincere, and truly invested in making our event special.

I was planning a retirement/65th birthday party for my husband and they could not have been more generous from helping with Vendors to being there every step of the way. I hosted my wedding here in November 2024 and it was all I could have hoped for. From the beginning Marie and Greg were so accommodating and professional.
We hosted a 75 person wedding at their beautiful home in Carlsbad, Ca. Our ceremony took place on the back patio area of the property with the gorgeous view of the ocean then eventually an epic sunset! After the ceremony had an awesome reception with amazing photos, and plenty of space to spread out and have fun! So much more intimate than a hotel banquet room.
We had the best experience here and would definitely throw another party at their house. Marie and Greg will help in anyway they can and take great care of you. They were very flexible with planned viewing of the property and also we got to choose and provide our own venders. Great location, great home and even better people.

What a perfect space! I was looking for an event space to host the memorial service for my Mother. I had a picture in my mind and the patio here was perfect. Marie and Greg were absolutely amazing. They helped me in so many ways. I really don’t think I could ever have pulled it off without them. They accommodated everything and everyone. I had some elderly guests, a vocalist, catering party rentals and about 68 guests in total. If I ever need an event space for anything again they are my first choice. Thank you so much!

Party planner for my fathers 90th birthday

I will start at the beginning.
I found Marie and Greg’s listing on eventective.com searching for a venue for my father’s 90th birthday celebration. We knew it would be between up to 60 guests and the other listings that could accommodate us just didn’t feel intimate for such an important family milestone. Marie and Greg’s listing looked perfect. I contacted Marie and she immediately replied and that impressed me right off the bat. Marie had so many wonderful suggestions and gave me so many options for how we could make this come together. She mentally held my hand through this entire process (and a few lengthy phone conversations!) and her recommendations were perfect. From setting up, to caterers, party suppliers and how to time everything she was invaluable. I think she also told me to breathe! I was arranging this from out of state so she was my main resource for everything. Then the day arrived and I came to her home for the first time. There are beautiful photos online but I was not prepared for just how absolutely stunning her home is. And impeccable! The guests arrived and every single one not only commented on the beauty of the venue but how absolutely lovely and fabulous Marie and Greg are. Greg helped us set up our birthday video to be played through their large screen in the garage and Marie helped us set up the tables and decorations. They just jumped right in! Guests were taking photos with an abundance of backdrops from vintage v.w.s to ocean views that were spectacular. We had sun, we had shade, we had indoor and we had outdoor for our group. It was perfect. I have been to many weddings and parties but this was different. It didn’t have a “rent-by-the-hour and try to spruce up the place” feel to it, it felt like “I have found the most beautiful venue to honor such an important person and occasion”. The only problem I have now is that I live out of state from the loveliest couple that I have ever met.
Marie and Greg are professionals with a lot of knowledge when it comes to hosting an event and hearts as big as their promise to make our celebration a success. To Marie and Greg, I am forever thankful!
This wasn’t a home run, it was a grand slam.

The PERFECT venue

My husband and I had our wedding at this beautiful home in mid-January, and we could not be more pleased with how well this venue suited our needs. The home accommodated our 65+ guests and allowed plenty of space for the ceremony, dining, and cocktails. Many of our guests could not stop complimenting the home's beauty throughout the event. The architecture and location of the home created the perfect setting for our wedding. After the ceremony, while our guests were socializing, our photographer captured our wedding portraits in the front and back yards, on multiple balconies, and in the gazebo. The photos were breathtaking, and the venue allowed for several creative backgrounds.
While the wedding was only one magical day, it took months to plan and would not have been possible without the hosts, Greg and Marie. From our initial visit to our wedding day, Greg and Marie offered their assistance. They accommodated several visits, were very responsive, provided many helpful wedding tips and suggestions, and helped throughout the event. Greg and Marie went above and beyond, from hanging paper lanterns in their gazebo to playing the music for our ceremony. Our wedding went off without a hitch and Greg and Marie are to thank. We highly recommend this venue for any event.

We had the pleasure of renting this beautiful house for a bridal shower, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The house was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail in its decor was stunning. It provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with celebration and joy.
The layout of the house was ideal for our gathering. We had ample space for seating, mingling, and enjoying food and drinks.

One of the standout features was the backyard garden area. It was beautifully landscaped and the gorgeous view provided a picturesque setting for photos. The bride-to-be was thrilled with the charming outdoor space, which allowed us to host a portion of our event outdoors.
The hosts, Greg and Marie, were incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout the booking process. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed to make the bridal shower a memorable occasion.
In summary, this house was a gem of a find for our bridal shower. It provided a perfect backdrop for our celebration, and our guests were thoroughly impressed. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a beautiful and welcoming space to host a special event. It made our bridal shower truly magical, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This was such a beautiful venue and location! The hosts were so wonderful and accommodating. They were super helpful and made the day even more amazing! My sorority absolutely loved their time there and could not have imagined a better retreat. Will definitely be looking to have our future retreats here as well! Wonderful experience overall. As a sorority it is so hard to find venues willing to host us. Would highly highly recommend!! The pictures are great here as well and a lot of space!

From the very first second we stepped on the property and were greeted by Greg and Marie, we knew this was the perfect place for our wedding. Greg and Marie are not only kind and generous, they are also exceptional hosts and professionals. Leading up to our wedding, they were gracious in allowing us multiple site visits with our vendors to finalize details and coordinate walk-throughs before our big day. Throughout the process, Greg and Marie went above and beyond to make sure we were all on the same page as our plans came together. They are encouraging, empathetic hosts whose guidance and assistance in the process have my husband and I already thinking about the next party we can plan there! Not only are the hosts amazing, but their home is the most beautiful and perfect setting for the most special of special events. The view from the back yard is magnificent while the front elevation of the property exudes elegance. If you're lucky enough to have found this venue, book early!

We rented the Carlsbad Event Home to host a four-hour wedding rehearsal party for our son and daughter-in-law. We had approximately 55 guests. The event was in early July. The venue was beautiful and the owners of the home were amazing! Marie and Greg were extremely helpful and went to great lengths to ensure our event was perfect. The house was in pristine condition, and the views are amazing. Marie and Greg helped us find food and table vendors, and they assisted us in getting ready for the event. We are so happy we went this route instead of hosting in a restaurant. Our guests loved the celebration, and the Carlsbad Event Home was perfect to kick off our special wedding weekend with our family and friends!

This event home is in a great location, beautiful inside and outdoor areas, outside garden with gorgeous surroundings, intimate, plenty of space and parking, and with a sunset view. This was the perfect place to have my party! My guests can't stop talking about this place!! My tables, chairs and tent fit perfectly outside on the driveway and the garage was ideal for my DJ and dancing. And the owners of the home were amazing and were so incredibly helpful the entire way through. They were attentive, had great customer service and cared about making my night special. I highly recommend this Carlsbad Event Home for your next event!

I've done 2 video shoots at this location and its amazing, I mean amazing. If I could shoot here all the time I would not just because of the location but the people that own the location.
