Account Manager

Jumpstart your sales career in a fun friendly and fast paced work environment. We are looking for Account Managers to generate new business through outbound calls to small businesses that serve the event industry. You'll be part of a growing team just outside Portland, Maine, a city with historic charm and a cosmopolitan feel and attitude. What You'll Do

  • Make 40-70 outbound calls per day to new prospects and existing customers
  • Follow our sales process for turning warm leads into enthusiastic fans
  • Introduce Eventective to companies by bringing them sales leads
  • Coach and advise small businesses on how to grow their business
  • Manage prospects and customers in Salesforce CRM
  • Attain or exceed your sales goals-and be rewarded accordingly

What You've Done

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 1-2 years related experience in event sales
  • Worked in the event / hospitality industry (weddings, parties, corporate meetings)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
  • Managed sales prospects in Salesforce or similar CRM system
  • Experience in the event industry and online advertising a plus.
  • Organized, self-motivated, persistent and enthusiastic.
  • Experience selling services or technology products to small businesses is a plus

Outreach Associate

Are you a detail-oriented people person who is interested in the events industry?

Making connections is important at Eventective. Our outreach team connects businesses that are getting event requests from Eventective users, and makes sure we have the correct contact information and business information on our event planning website. If you like talking with people and have an interest in the events industry, this might just be the perfect role for you!

What You'll Do

  • Make 50-100 outreach calls per day to businesses getting event requests from Eventective visitors
  • Ensure that we have the correct business information for businesses listed on Eventective
  • Introduce Eventective to event businesses in the US and Canada
  • Forward event businesses to the account management team when interested in advertising on Eventective

What You've Done

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 1-2 years related experience in event sales
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
  • Organized, self-motivated, persistent and enthusiastic.
  • Experience in the events industry is a plus

Skills You'll Need

  • An excellent phone presence

  • Basic Computer Skills
