The Crescent Farm Historical Center, known locally as the Rock Barn, is a treasured landmark of Cherokee County. It was constructed in 1906 by Augustus Lee Coggins. It is believed to be the only existing rock barn in Georgia. Today, the Crescent Farm Historical Center is a unique landmark and multi-use facility.
Rehabilitated to host the Society’s meetings, the Rock Barn is both exhibition center and special events facility available to rent. While the exterior appears the same as when it was originally completed in 1906, the interior has been charmingly modernized without sacrificing the architectural integrity of a race horse stable. While the building itself has a maximum occupancy of 180, tents may be set up outside on the lawn to extend the facility. There is an adjacent lot which is being developed for outdoor wedding ceremonies, so please ask about availability. The Rock Barn easily accommodates business meetings, wedding receptions, family reunions and all types of parties.
