The Hawthorn Inn is an ideal location for a small event ( less than 50 people) in Camden, Maine. It is the closest bed and breakfast to the Camden Amphitheater and just steps from the harbor and a short walk to the center of town. The Inn is in the best location to enjoy this area of the Mid-Coast, yet is also peaceful and quiet. The Hawthorn Inn has spacious lawn and gardens with views of the Harbor. There are chairs and tables on the deck and terrace. There are three common spaces in the interior of the inn that can be used for events. There is a dining room, front and back parlor. Reunions The Hawthorn Inn is a great place for a family reunion or a group of wedding attendees staying together in a common place attending a wedding at another wedding venue in Camden. Groups traveling together enjoy having the privacy of their own room, but a common room to gather, play games (available at the inn). Retreats Due to the proximity of all of the great hiking, biking, kayaking, and health and wellness opportunities that Camden has to offer, it makes a great place for a wellness retreat venue. It is also a great place for a small corporate team building or leadership retreat. The dining room and parlors could be used as break our rooms for sessions. Wedding venue The spacious lawn and gardens of our Camden, Maine wedding venue can accommodate a wedding tent and guests, and the decks and terrace at the back of the Main House are suitable for receptions and small sit-down dinners. For outdoor weddings, the Inn is best suited for up to 50 guests. Small weddings of 20 and under are ideal in this intimate, romantic setting, any time of the year! Elopements and commitment ceremonies are welcomed. Small party or meeting The Hawthorn Inn is a great place for a small party or meeting during the slower seasons. This service is not available during high season as a courtesy to the event planner and our other guests. The common areas could accommodate that small baby shower, bridal shower or off-site meeting.

From practical point of view: Despite its proximity to beautiful downtown Orono, The Stone Manor provides ample on-site parking. The building is equipped with a vertical, enclosed wheelchair lift. It is also one of the safest historic buildings in Maine, with modern sprinkler system throughout, even in the attic, as well as voice-evacuation fire alarm system. We host music events, we have comedy on the first Friday of every month, weddings, company parties, small 18 booth trade shows and even funerals.
