The Most Amazing Revolving View, An Eventective User from Hanover, PA

The Sun Dial Restaurant is a great place and where I had my first weeding reception. The restaurant is a one of a kind with a stunning view of the city that cannot be beat. The restaurant takes up three separate floors on the top of the tallest high-rise building in the western hemisphere. The Sun Dial Restaurant is located on 210 Peachtree St, Atlanta, GA on the top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The Sun Dial consists of three revolving levels, a restaurant on one floor, a cocktail lounge on another and an observatory on the third. The location is so beautiful and my wife absolutely loved it. I even considered the Sun Dial as a place to propose to her, however I choose a more natural proposal on the beach. On the weekends the rotating bar has live Jazz bands that play and would also make for a great rehearsal dinner. The food was superb and reasonably priced, however the wait staff was somewhat slower than expected. While I was expecting the bill to be substantially higher than it turned out to be, this is not a cheap venue. In addition to the restaurant itself, the view on the ride up the seventy stories in the Westin Hotel's glass elevator is truly a breathtaking experience for your weeding guests. I think that the Sun Dial is one of the most spectacular weeding reception venues in the U.S., and would recommend that any young couples in the Atlanta area make sure to plan an evening at the Sun Dial to see if it's the right place for their weeding.


A View Like No Other, An Eventective User from Tucker, Georgia

From the time you step on to the glass elevator and ride to the top of this Atlanta skyscraper, you will be amazed beyond belief. This is not the place for people with a fear of heights! When you step off the elevator, you are in a 360 degree space, with windows boasting the best view in Atlanta. During the day time it's beautiful, but at night, looking out at the city lights, it's breath taking. The decor is simple and dark. It doesn't take away from the view. The food is average. Personally, I think this place is much better for cocktails and visiting with friends. But as the room rotates, and you get to experience all of Atlanta's beauty, the food doesn't seem so important. This is a great place for a romantic get together or for showing off this beautiful city's skylines to your out of town guests.
